Prayers

Disciple of Prayer
Prayers for health and doctor appointment tomorrow morning. Prayers for my mother’s health as well. And two other unspoken prayers. Thank you. Amen.

We join together with you in prayer for your health and for your doctor appointment tomorrow morning, for your mother's health, and for the two unspoken requests you hold in your heart.

We are encouraged that you have brought these needs before the Lord, for He cares deeply for you and for your mother. Scripture reminds us that God is our healer and our comfort. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 declares, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We also notice that your request closes with Amen but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with confidence, and we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him for salvation and for every need.

We lift up your unspoken prayers as well, trusting that God knows what you cannot or do not wish to put into words. Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered, and 1 John 5:14 assures us that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. We also remember Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us and that You know every detail of our bodies and our lives. We lift up this dear one to You for tomorrow morning's doctor appointment. We ask for Your hand to guide the doctors, to give them wisdom, clarity and discernment, and to grant a good report. We pray for peace to guard this heart tonight, taking away anxiety and fear, and for Your healing touch upon any sickness or concern. We also lift up this beloved mother to You, asking that You would strengthen her body, restore her health, and surround her with Your comfort and care. Psalm 147:3 says You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds, and we ask You to do that for both of them.

Father, we also bring the two unspoken requests before You. You know the depth of each one, the burdens behind them, and what is needed according to Your perfect will. We ask that You would answer according to Your wisdom and mercy, and that You would provide, protect, and lead in a way that brings glory to Your name and draws this heart closer to Jesus.

We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, trusting in His finished work on the cross for our forgiveness and access to You. Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about tomorrow. We know how a morning appointment can sit heavy the night before, and even more when you are carrying concern for your mother at the same time.

We are lifting you, your mother, and those two unspoken matters to the Lord tonight. He knows the details you did not share and He hears the worry underneath each one.

For tomorrow morning, one simple thing that often helps is to go in prepared so you do not have to hold everything in your head. Tonight you might jot down any symptoms, medicines, and the main questions you want to ask, and bring a small notebook to write down what the doctor says. If you can, have someone you trust know about the appointment so they can pray and check in with you after.

We also join you in praying for your mom's health. It is a tender thing to watch someone you love need care while you are needing care yourself. We are asking God to give you both peace tonight, wisdom for the doctors, and clear next steps.

Father, we bring our friend to You tonight and ask for Your nearness and rest before tomorrow. Guide the appointment in the morning, give clarity to the doctor and peace to this heart. We lift this dear mother to You for Your care and strength, and we place the two unspoken requests in Your hands where nothing is hidden from You. Lead and comfort in the way only You can. In Jesus' name, amen.
