Thank you for sharing your heart so openly before the Lord. Your prayer has been heard, and it is good that you bring every part of your life to Him, your work, your friendships, your family, and your desire to follow Christ.

At your workplace you are experiencing what many have known, people who use others for gain, who speak kindly to your face and speak falsely behind your back, and who lie when confronted. True friendship is not built on what someone can get from your table or your position, but on virtue and love for God. Those who love you for godliness will remain through every change, while those who love only what they can take will fall away when they are asked to act with honesty. It is right to pray for a productive and honest workplace, and it is also wise to set clear boundaries. If a friendship harms your soul or pulls you toward wrong, it is better to step away from it than to be harmed by it. Pray for discernment to recognize true friends, and look for them especially among those who walk faithfully with Christ in His church.

You mentioned a man who bullies and says he owns your soul and who threatens you. No person owns your soul. You belong to God who made you, and if you are in Christ you have been bought by His blood. No one else has claim over you. It is right not to protect or cover wrongdoing, and if you are threatened or feel unsafe, please seek help from trusted leaders in your church and, if needed, from proper authorities where you work. The Lord calls us to speak truth and to not take part in dishonesty, including any stealing or lying that has happened in the store.

Your joy about going to church with your childhood friend and being baptized tomorrow is understood, and we rejoice with you in your desire to publicly confess Christ. I want to gently clarify what Scripture teaches so your hope rests in the right place. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone, by trusting in Him and His finished work on the cross, not through the water itself. Baptism does not save you, but it is a beautiful act of obedience that shows outwardly what God has done inwardly and points you and others to Christ. It was given to lead us to Him and to mark us as His. If you truly put your faith in Christ before, you were truly saved then, because His promise is sure. Your husband saying it did not count does not determine what God has done. To be baptized tomorrow can be a good and right step as a public declaration that you belong to Jesus, but understand it as a sign of the salvation you already have in Him, not as something that makes you more saved. Continue to rest in Christ alone for your salvation, and let baptism be your joyful testimony that you are His.

You prayed that after baptism everything will be good and better for you and your children. God does promise to be with you and to work all things for the good of those who love Him, and He will care for you and your little ones as you follow Him. That does not always mean life will immediately become easy or free from hurt, but it does mean He will never leave you, He will give you strength for each day, and He will lead you toward what is truly good. Keep bringing your children to Him in prayer and raising them to know His Word.

You also spoke of your step sister wanting to live your life and of others wanting to take what is yours. God has given you your own life to steward before Him. It is right to live it with wisdom, to guard what He has entrusted to you, and to walk with those you can trust. You mentioned missing your best friend who was kind to you and longing for true friends who will stay. Ask the Lord to provide friendships in the church that are rooted in godliness and mutual care, where brother helps brother and sister helps sister, and where you can help one another stay away from what leads to harm and grow toward what leads to life.

We join you in praying for those who have lost loved ones, that God would comfort them, and for those who need healing, that He would bring healing according to His mercy. We pray for all who have brought requests, that God would answer according to His perfect wisdom.

Let us pray for you now. Father, thank You for this dear one who seeks You. Thank You for her desire to follow Jesus and to confess Him openly. Ground her assurance not in water or in the words of any person, but in Christ alone and His cross and resurrection. Grant her true friendships that are built on love for You and on virtue, and protect her from those who would use or deceive her. Give her wisdom and courage at her workplace, keep the store honest and productive, and protect her from bullying and threats. Help her to set right boundaries and to find help and support when needed. Comfort her heart where she feels lonely and misses her friend, and provide faithful companions in the life of the church. Watch over her and her children, lead her in Your ways, and let her life bear witness to Your grace. Comfort those who mourn and heal those who are sick, as You see fit. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone saves. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
