Beloved Servant
God, Thank you for this day. I am thankful for all in my life, who are my real friends, who takes up for me behind my back, I ask you send people who are true friends to me, and keep the place where I work at ### productive and busy, please, when I am at work, instead of those who use me for, Baby: and all she has, and those who tries to use me and talks about me behind my back, is where they can stay, and lies to me when I confront them to they face, when someone said specifically they said they don’t won’t to do with me, than, them talking about themself with all the money they stole from this store in the past, and look, they take off when they get called out, I pray for the real and true friends to come to the store, and the store stay busy and productive. I am going to church with my childhood best friend, and I am getting baptized tomorrow. I am happy, I am finally getting baptized and saved. I was saved once before, and my husband still says, it don’t count. So, I will do it right tomorrow. I pray me getting saved and baptized, everything will be good, better, nest for me and my children, my babies, and those who are real and true to me in my life, from here on out, please. I miss my best friend, ###, she was kind and nice to me. I need a true friend(s), you’ll send in my life, and stay and be my friend. Lord, If ###, don’t stop with his fake ways and bullying, I pray I not take nor protect him no more, and he threaten me saying, he owns my soul, he own his own soul, he alway said stuff like that, to a customer, and I told him, he is lying. I pray for busy productive days here at the store. I pray for those who has lost a love one, the family be comforted. For those who needs healing, heal. I pray for those in this prayer that our prayer be answered, including my prayer. My step sister said, one time, I can’t live my own life, because she wants to live my life, no, see, she about to have a big problem, my life with me and those I trust is my life where I can live my life, it was mine long before they decided they want to take it, that’s alright, I’ll live my life anyways. God, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

We rejoice with you in hearing your thanksgiving to God for this day and for your desire for true friends who will speak well of you even when you are not present, and we join with you in prayer for your workplace and for your baptism tomorrow.

We give thanks that you are going to church with your childhood best friend and that you are taking the step of baptism. We want to gently encourage you with what Scripture teaches about salvation and baptism. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by the act of baptism itself, though baptism is a beautiful and commanded step of obedience and a public testimony of the inward change God has done. Ephesians 2:8-9 says for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 1 Peter 3:21 reminds us that baptism is not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you truly believed and received Jesus before, that salvation counted before God, and your baptism tomorrow will be a wonderful outward declaration of that inward faith and a step of obedience as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19. We encourage you to speak with your pastor about your testimony so your baptism is understood as obedience flowing from faith, not as earning salvation again. We also hear that your husband says it did not count before, and we pray that God will bring unity and encouragement in your marriage, and that your husband will support your walk with Christ and rejoice with you. Marriage is a holy covenant before God, and we pray God strengthens your marriage to honor Him.

We also hear your hurt about the workplace, about those who use you, talk about you behind your back, lie when confronted, and even boast about stealing from the store, and then run away when called out. God sees all of this. Proverbs 11:1 says a false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. Colossians 3:23 says whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray that God will protect your integrity there, that He will make your store productive and busy for honest gain, and that He will surround you with true friends. Proverbs 18:24 says there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother, and we know Jesus is that faithful friend, and He will also send godly people into your life to walk with you. We pray for your childhood best friend you miss and thank God for her kindness to you, and we ask God to bring steadfast, truthful friends who will stay and encourage you in the Lord.

We must also address in love the threatening words spoken to you that a man owns your soul. This is a lie and we rebuke it in Jesus name. No man owns your soul. Ezekiel 18:4 says behold, all souls are mine, says the Lord Yahweh. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have from God, you are not your own, for you were bought with a price. You belong to God, and only God has authority over your soul. Any bullying, intimidation, and fake ways must be brought into the light, and we pray you will not feel you must protect or cover for wrongdoing. We pray for your protection and wisdom to set godly boundaries, and that if this man does not turn from his ways, the Lord will remove his influence from you and your workplace. Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, so we entrust justice to God while we walk in truth and do not repay evil for evil.

We hear your heart for your children, your babies, and we pray God will bless and keep them and that your obedience tomorrow will be a testimony to them of God's goodness. We hear your pain about your stepsister saying you cannot live your own life because she wants to live it. We encourage you that God has given you your life as a stewardship before Him. Galatians 6:4-5 says let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor, for each man will bear his own burden. It is right for you to live the life God has entrusted to you with those you trust, walking in wisdom and peace.

We thank you that you prayed in Jesus name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are grateful you have called on that name.

We now pray together with you.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for this dear sister and for her thankful heart. We thank you for her desire to follow you in baptism and for the work you have done in her heart by faith. Confirm her salvation by your Spirit, let tomorrow be a joyful public witness of her faith, and let her children and her household see your goodness through her life. Strengthen her marriage and let her husband be an encouragement in her walk with you. Lord, we ask you to send true, loyal, godly friends into her life who will love her, speak truth, and stand with her, and comfort her in missing her dear friend. Bless the work of her hands at the store, make it busy and productive for your glory, protect her from gossip, lies, theft, and those who would use her, and let honesty and integrity prevail there. We rebuke the lie that any man owns her soul, and we declare that her soul belongs to you alone, bought with the precious blood of Jesus, and we ask for your protection from bullying and threats. Give her wisdom and courage to set boundaries and to walk in truth. Comfort those who have lost loved ones, as Psalm 147:3 says you heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds. Bring healing to those who need healing, for you are our healer. Let all our prayers be answered according to your perfect will. We entrust her life, her children, and all those who are real and true to her into your loving hands from this day forward. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your note and hear about tomorrow. Being baptized with your childhood best friend beside you is a beautiful step and we rejoice with you as you take it. We hear how much you want that to mark a fresh walk with Jesus for you and your children, and we are praying it will be a day of deep peace and joy for you.

We also hear the ache underneath, missing your best friend, longing for true friends who will stand up for you, and dealing with hurtful talk and bullying at work. It makes sense you would feel worn down when trust feels thin. Real friendship often grows slowly through being around the same people consistently, sharing honestly and doing life together, and the church family you are stepping more fully into tomorrow can be a steady place for that kind of connection to grow.

A simple next step that may help is to let your pastor or that childhood friend know after the baptism how much you long for ongoing community, and ask if there is a small gathering or serving team at church where you can get to know a few people week by week. Having a couple of consistent faces can ease loneliness and give you support when work feels hard.

Father, thank you for this sister and her children and for her desire to follow you. Give her joy tomorrow, surround her with faithful friends, guard her at work and at home, and bring comfort and healing to every heart she lifted up to you. Keep her close to you and guide her days ahead in Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and it is good to hear your thankfulness in the midst of many trials, and your desire to follow the Lord in obedience.

There is great joy in hearing that you are to be baptized upon profession of faith. Yet let the truth be set plainly before you for your comfort, lest you build your hope upon a wrong foundation. Baptism does not save the soul, nor is there any regenerating efficacy in water, or in immersion, or in baptism in any shape or form. It is necessary as the outward visible expression of the inward spiritual faith by which the soul is saved. Scripture puts it thus, He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, and so baptism follows faith. It is an embodied creed, a burial. We declare in baptism that we believe in the death of Jesus, and desire to partake in all the merit of it, that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. By being plunged beneath the water and lifted up again we set forth His death and His resurrection, and own that His suffering, not ours, avails for salvation. It is Christ being baptized for you with that baptism of blood when He poured out His soul unto death that saves you, not your own act.

Therefore do not think that you were unsaved before and will be saved tomorrow by the water, nor that your husband's word can count or discount what God has wrought. If you have truly believed on the Son, you have everlasting life by that faith alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. Faith is necessary to the being of a Christian, assurance is necessary to his well being. That assurance comes not from man saying it counts, but from God saying to your soul, I am thy salvation, and it is addressed to the heart and conscience through trust in Christ. If your faith was fixed on Christ before, you were His then. Your baptism tomorrow, if it be the baptism of a believer, is your obedient confession of that faith, the test of obedience and the putting on of Christ's regimentals without delay, as the jailer did in the night. Look to Christ, not to the water, for the pardon and the power to live a new life.

It is right to pray for true friends and for honest labour. You speak of those who use you, talk against you behind your back, lie to your face, and steal, and then take flight when called to account. This is a bitter trial, but you have a High Priest who knows what betrayal is. The words of the Psalmist received literal fulfillment in our Master, who was betrayed by a friend, that prophecy might be fulfilled and that sin might reach its culminating point and atonement be completed. In that betrayal Christ became able to sympathize with us in every point. He sees the false tongue and the secret theft, and He will be your defender. Pray for a busy and productive place of work, and pray also that honesty and peace may prevail there, and that the Lord will send you true friends who are godly and faithful. The dearest Friend of all is Christ Himself, who will never betray nor forsake.

Concerning the threatening word that any man owns your soul, hear the truth. No man owns your soul. Your soul belongs to God who made it, and if you are in Christ, you have been bought with a price, even His precious blood. Let no one claim dominion over you in that way, and do not protect what is false or bullying. Speak the truth in love, and seek safety and wise counsel in the church where you are going with your childhood friend, and among those who will truly take up for you.

You speak also of your children, your babies, and of a stepsister who would live your life for you, and of missing a dear friend who was kind to you. The Lord knows these tender sorrows. To walk in newness of life after baptism is to live your life before God, not before those who would control you, in holiness and quiet trust, honouring what is right and leaving vengeance and vindication to Him.

We will pray with you. May the Lord give you a clear faith in Christ alone for salvation, a joyful obedience in baptism as a burial with Him and a rising to new life, true friends who love at all times, integrity and peace in your workplace, protection from bullying and from every false claim upon your soul, grace to live your life faithfully before God for the good of your children, comfort for those who mourn, and healing according to His will. May He establish you in humble assurance, that you may be thankful and keep that assurance till He calls you home, and may all your prayers be answered as He sees best, in Jesus name. Amen.
