Beloved of All
Pray for family. God knows what I am struggling with. Just a lot of worry and desires for my family. Protect my family. Keep us healthy and safe. Help us prosper and provide good incomes and opportunities for our adult children. Struggling with my sisters and holidays upcoming. I am a adult woman with my own family and grandchild and want to spend my time making our own traditions and memories and I’m bullied by my older sisters and ready for a change and time for myself to do what I want to do. They just want to “party” and now that we have a baby we want to move on. It’s so hard to express the issues. But they exist and I need Gods help. Please help provide a natural exit so it doesn’t have to be a fight. Preferable on their side and I just get to take advantage of it. God has been working in our life. I see it. So I feel okay with bringing the desires and anxieties in my life before him to guide me through. He knows what I am praying for and what I am struggling with. Just pray over our family. Thank you.

We hear your heart and we join with you in bringing your family before the throne of grace, and we thank you for sharing so honestly about the worries and desires you carry. We see that God has already been working in your life and we rejoice that you recognize His hand and want to bring your anxieties to Him, for that is exactly what He invites us to do.

The Lord knows the burdens you feel for your family, for your adult children and for your precious grandchild, and He knows the tension you feel with your sisters as the holidays approach. We understand the desire to protect your family, to keep them healthy and safe, to see your children provided for with good work and opportunity, and to create your own traditions and memories in this new season as a grandmother. These are good and godly desires.

Scripture tells us not to carry worry alone. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. We are called to trust Him with what we cannot control, including family dynamics and the future of our children.

We pray for your family's protection and provision. Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. And we pray that as you seek Him first, He will provide what you need, for Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. For your adult children we pray not only for incomes and opportunities, but for diligence and purpose in their work, that they would walk in the plans God has for them, for Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Psalm 127:3 reminds us that Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward, so we thank God with you for your grandchild.

Regarding your sisters, we understand how painful it can be to feel bullied and pressured, especially when you long for peace and for time to invest in your own household. God calls us to honor family relationships while also establishing healthy boundaries with love and truth. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And Ephesians 4:15 calls us to speak truth in love. We gently encourage you that hoping for a natural exit on their side so you can just take advantage of it, while understandable to avoid a fight, is not the path of peacemaking that honors God. He calls us to be peacemakers, not just peace keepers who avoid conflict. Matthew 5:9 says Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. And Ephesians 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. It may be that God is calling you to lovingly and clearly communicate your boundaries about the holidays, expressing your desire to build traditions with your grandchild, with grace and without accusation, trusting Him with the outcome rather than waiting for circumstances to force a separation. Proverbs 16:9 says A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps, and Psalm 37:4 says Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart, as you delight in Him first.

We also want to lovingly point out that your request mentions God but does not mention Jesus. We want to make sure you know that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name. It is in Jesus name that we pray with confidence.

So together we pray. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear sister and her family to You. You know every worry and every desire she carries, even those too hard to express in words. We ask You to guard her heart with Your peace and to keep her family healthy and safe under Your hand. Provide for her and for her adult children, open doors of honest work and opportunity, and help them to prosper as they walk in obedience to You. Bless this precious grandchild and let this new generation be a time of joy and godly legacy. Lord, bring healing and wisdom to the relationship with her sisters. Give her courage to speak the truth in love, to set boundaries with kindness, and to pursue peace without manipulation or strife. Help her to honor You in how she handles the holidays, to create traditions that glorify You, and to release any bitterness or fear. Let Your will be done in her family, and let her continue to see Your hand at work. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on Him daily, to pray for your sisters even as you set boundaries, and to trust that God will guide you step by step. He is faithful to lead you into the rest and the new traditions He has for you and your household.

We hear how heavy this feels, carrying worry for your whole family while also trying to make a peaceful path forward for the holidays. Loving your children and grandchild well, wanting health and good opportunities for them, and wanting to protect your own home and traditions are good desires to bring to the Lord, and we are glad you are bringing them to Him. We see too that you have noticed God at work, and that gives you a steady place to keep bringing these anxieties back to Him.

The tension with your sisters makes sense. When you have built your own family and now have a baby in the family, it is natural to want to shape holidays around what fits your household best. Wanting a natural, quiet exit without a fight is understandable, and at the same time waiting for them to create it often keeps you stuck feeling bullied and anxious.

One grounded step that often helps is to decide quietly with your spouse first what you actually want this holiday season to look like, what you will say yes to and what you will say no to with your time and energy. Boundaries are a bit like property lines, they help you take responsibility for what is yours to steward and stay connected without feeling forced to please everyone. Then you can let your sisters know early, in a brief and kind way, what you have decided for your family this year, rather than waiting and reacting.

We pray for you. Father, we lift this family to You and ask for Your protection, health, and wisdom over each of them. Give our sister clarity and courage as she navigates time with her sisters, peace in place of worry, and joy as she builds traditions with her children and grandchild. Guide her steps and draw her close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and brought before the Lord with care, and we join you in laying these burdens at His feet. You have done well to bring your desires and anxieties before Him, for He knows what you struggle with and He invites you to cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.

You speak of much worry for your family, for health and safety, for provision and good opportunities for your adult children, and for wisdom in a difficult season with your sisters as the holidays approach. The Word reminds us not to be consumed by worry and fretfulness about temporal things. Anxiety, as you have learned, does not put meal in the barrel nor does it fit us to meet the difficulty, but rather unfits us for it. Be prudent and faithful in what is yours to do, and then rest the outcome with your Father who knows how to give good gifts to His children. He has promised to supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and time would fail to tell how often He has interposed for His family and honored His promise when His people have trusted Him.

We pray that the Lord will keep you and yours in health and safety under His gracious hand, that He will provide honest work and right opportunities for your children, and that He will prosper you not for mere gain but that you may have to give and to serve. Family piety brings great responsibilities, yet it cannot stand in the place of personal godliness, and so we pray most of all that each vessel in your household may be filled from His fullness, that each one may go to Christ for himself and know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We pray for your grandchild and for the new traditions you long to build, that your home may be marked by that family likeness which belongs to those who are led by the Spirit of God, and that prayer in private and prayer in the family may be diligently maintained.

Concerning your sisters, we understand the weight of feeling bullied and torn between love for family and the need for peace and time to do what is right before the Lord for your own household. It is right to desire a quiet and holy life and to step away from what is merely revelry and partying, especially now that the Lord has entrusted a little one to your care. Yet we would encourage you not to seek a hidden exit where you merely take advantage of an occasion on their side, but to seek a clear and gentle path of truth and love. Speak the truth in love, with meekness and firmness, establishing needful boundaries without bitterness. The Lord can make a way for peace without strife, but that way is found in honesty, forgiveness, and a willingness to be at peace as far as it depends on you, rather than in maneuvering. Pray that God will soften hearts on all sides, give you words seasoned with grace, and guard you from conflict that tears down.

We pray for you now. Our Father in heaven, we thank You that You see this daughter of Yours and know the anxieties and desires of her heart. Forgive our many worries and teach us to trust You more fully. We ask You to protect this family, to keep them in health and safety, to provide for their daily needs and to open right doors of provision for the adult children. Give wisdom for every decision regarding the holidays and family gatherings, give courage to set loving boundaries, give grace to forgive and to seek reconciliation where it is possible, and give peace where separation for a season is needful. Fill each heart with Your Spirit, draw each one to personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and let this home be a place where Christ is honored and new memories are built to Your glory. Turn all worry into prayer, and let Your peace which passes all understanding guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. In His name we pray, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing these worries and desires before the Lord who knows what you are carrying.

We thank God with you that you have seen His hand at work in your life. That is a reason for hope, and it is right to bring every anxiety about your family before Him, trusting Him to guide you.

We pray for your family, that God would keep you healthy and safe. We ask Him to keep you not only in bodily health but in spiritual health, caring for the body for strength to serve Him and not to kindle wanton desires. Scripture reminds us to make provision for the flesh for health and not to fulfill its lusts, and to prune away what leads to excess. In a season where many are drawn to partying and indulgence, we pray God would guard your heart and your home from that spirit and give you a love for what is sober, modest and holy.

We pray for your adult children and your grandchild, that God would provide for their needs and open right opportunities for work and provision. At the same time we ask that He would teach all of you to seek first the true riches that do not fade. Wealth and outward defenses cannot make a family strong. A strong family is one that is trained in the chastening and admonition of the Lord, able to bear trials and to regard this present world as nothing compared to Christ. We pray your children and grandchild would be formed in that virtue, whether they have little or much.

We hear your struggle with your sisters and the coming holidays. The desire to build your own traditions and memories in this new season with a baby is understandable, and the feeling of being pressured or bullied is painful. We pray God would give you wisdom, courage and grace to act not from avoidance but from love and truth. Rather than asking for a hidden exit where the decision appears to be on their side so you can take advantage of it, we pray God would help you to speak clearly and kindly, as Scripture teaches, and to seek peace without deceit. Even when family ties bring division and hurt, God can give a generous mind to do what is right. Whether young or old, married or single, with many household cares or few, He enables those who are earnest to pursue virtue.

We pray God would give you words that are honest and gentle, boundaries that are firm and loving, and a heart that desires reconciliation where possible. If a separation of traditions for a season is best for your household, we pray you would be able to communicate that openly and without a fight, honoring both your sisters and your own husband and household which God has entrusted to you.

We encourage you to continue giving heed to the Scriptures, for there you will find protection from deception and strength to help others. Let your home be a place where the image of God is adorned through goodness, meekness, forgiveness and mercy.

We pray this together. Father, we lift this family to You. You know their worries, their desires for health, safety and provision, and the tension around their sisters and the holidays. Grant them bodily health and spiritual strength, daily bread and contentment, and work that honors You. Give this mother and grandmother wisdom to lead her household well, to love her sisters without being controlled by them, and to establish traditions that honor Christ and nurture her children and grandchild in Your ways. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and to find their security not in outward things but in You. Build for them a lasting hope in heaven that no time or trouble can take away. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Your honesty in bringing these worries and desires before the Lord is a good and right step. God does know what you are carrying, and He invites you to bring your anxieties to Him. Scripture says to cast all your care upon Him because He cares for you, and to make your requests known to God with thanksgiving, trusting His peace to guard your heart.

Part of what you are feeling is the weight of traditions and family expectations. Traditions can become deeply embedded, sometimes more powerful than almost anything else, and very hard to break. In the days of Jesus, religious leaders had built up traditions around the law that at times even set aside the actual commandment of God, and they judged others for not keeping those traditions. Jesus challenged that. He showed that God is not bound to one method or custom, and that traditions themselves can bring division when they are treated as law. It is possible, even among sincere believers, to elevate a family custom or a holiday pattern above what God actually commands, which is to love Him and to love one another with truth and grace.

That helps to frame what you are facing with your sisters and the holidays. As an adult woman with your own family and now a grandchild, you have a God given stewardship for your own household. Scripture still calls us to honor father and mother, and to live at peace with all as far as it depends on us, but it also recognizes that a new family has its own responsibilities and freedom in Christ to establish wholesome patterns. You have freedom to celebrate a holiday in a way that builds memories for your children and grandchild, and freedom to step back from aspects that are not helpful or edifying. Wanting to create a quieter, healthier, more Christ centered time at home with a baby, rather than a gathering centered on partying, is an understandable and good desire to protect and nurture your family.

You mentioned wanting a natural exit without a fight, preferably where the change comes from their side so you can simply step back. It is understandable to want to avoid conflict, and there are times when Jesus withdrew from a heated confrontation rather than force one. Yet He also spoke truth plainly and did not rely on indirect or hidden ways to avoid hard conversations. It will serve you better in the long run to seek a gracious, direct path rather than hoping for circumstances to make the decision for you. Speaking the truth in love, with clear and kind boundaries, honors God more than quietly maneuvering for an advantage. You can express love and respect for your sisters while also saying, with gentleness and firmness, what you and your household have decided to do for this season, and why. That may still be difficult, and they may not respond as you hope, but it keeps your conscience clear before the Lord.

Jesus Himself knew family misunderstanding and rejection. Even His own brothers did not believe in Him at first, and He said that those who do the will of His Father are His true family. That does not diminish the importance of blood family, but it reminds us that our deepest bond is in Christ, and that He understands the pain when family ties feel strained. He is able to give you wisdom for how to love your sisters without being controlled or bullied by them, and how to lead your own family with peace.

Praying for you, that God will keep you and your family healthy and safe, that He will provide good and honest opportunities and incomes for your adult children according to His wisdom, and that He will give you clear guidance and courage for the holidays. May He give you words that are both kind and truthful, unity where possible, and peace where unity is not yet possible, and may He help you establish traditions in your home that honor Him and strengthen the next generation.
