Your request for prayer for healing miracles has been received and we are praying with you.
We want you to know that we believe strongly that God still heals today. He heals in many different ways. Sometimes He heals instantly and miraculously. Sometimes He heals gradually over time through the natural processes He built into our bodies. That gradual recovery is no less divine, because God is the one who created nature and the healing processes within it. And sometimes His healing touches the mind and the emotions, bringing restoration to deep wounds and scars, which is also a real and divine work. We have seen miraculous healings, we have seen slow and gradual healings, and we have also seen people who were prayed for sincerely who still died. All of these are part of our experience.
Scripture teaches that healing is part of what Jesus accomplished. When Matthew describes Jesus healing all who were brought to Him, he says this fulfilled what Isaiah spoke, Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, where the word for griefs can also be translated infirmities. Matthew understood that Jesus bore our physical infirmities as well as our spiritual need, and that is why when Jesus gave the bread at communion and said this is my body broken for you, we remember that His suffering was for the whole person.
At the same time, the Bible does not teach that God wills physical healing in every case in this life. The apostle Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove what he called a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, and the Lord answered, My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Even a prophet through whom God did many mighty miracles still became sick and died. The good people we love can suffer illness and cancer and it does not mean God is punishing them or that they have failed.
We also know from 1 Corinthians 12 that not everyone is given the same gift. Paul asks, Are all workers of miracles, do all have gifts of healing, do all speak with tongues, and the expected answer is no. The body has many members with different functions. For a long time some of us earnestly desired the gifts of miracles and healing because we saw how God used them in the book of Acts to point people to the risen Jesus, and we prayed and fasted for them. The Lord showed us that there is a more excellent way, which is love, and that is the greatest evidence of His presence. We still pray for the sick and we still see God heal, but we do not want to turn healing into a spectacle. Jesus often healed quietly and told those He healed not to broadcast it, and He never used miracles simply to draw a crowd. We have no desire for an atmosphere that whips people into a frenzy or advertises miracles as if God were only available on certain occasions, and we have seen that God sometimes uses people in healing whose lives are not consistent, which shows that the gift is by His grace and not a reward for perfect holiness.
It would be wrong for anyone to tell you that if you are not healed it must be because you have hidden sin or because you lack faith. We do not know why some are healed and others are not, and we leave that in the hands of a loving and sovereign God who is still concerned for your physical needs and is still able to heal.
So we are joining our faith with yours and asking the Lord to lay His hand upon you according to His wisdom and mercy. We pray for His healing power to work in your body, whether instantly or gradually, and for His peace to guard your heart and mind. We also pray as James instructs, that the elders would pray and anoint with oil in the name of the Lord, trusting that the prayer of faith will be heard. Above all we pray that you will know His love and His sufficient grace in whatever outcome He wills, and that through this you will be drawn closer to Jesus Christ.

We take comfort in His promises that He is our healer as it is written in Jeremiah 30:17 and Isaiah 53:5.
