Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so openly what is on your heart. We have prayed for you and we continue to stand with you in prayer before the Lord.
One of the clearest lessons in Scripture about fear is that fear grows when we forget the Lord and faith grows when we remember Him. David said though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me. When our eyes are on the threats around us, on the size of the obstacles or on what people may do, discouragement and fear take hold. When our eyes are on the Lord, remembering that He is with you to strengthen and uphold you, fear loses its hold. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart together. Where faith in the living God is strong, fear must leave. Where fear is allowed to remain, faith is pushed aside. The enemy often uses fear to try to make us react quickly and wrongly, but you do not need to be moved by fear. Greater is He who is with you than any opposition against you. The Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear. The Lord is the strength of your life, of whom shall you be afraid.
Scripture also teaches that the beginning and the sum of true wisdom is the reverent awe of the Lord. This is not a terror that God will harm you, but a deep respect and love that you would not want to grieve Him, a desire to love what He loves and to hate what He hates. That kind of reverence keeps us from evil and is the foundation for knowledge and understanding. It keeps us from leaning on our own understanding. As you acknowledge Him in all your ways, He has promised to direct your paths, to be your confidence and to keep your foot from slipping. When judgment or sudden trouble comes upon those who reject Him, you do not need to live in dread, for the Lord Himself watches over those who fear Him. There is a precious promise that those who live in this reverent fear of the Lord will lack no good thing He knows they need. Even strong young lions may go hungry, but the Lord takes care of those who honor Him.
We have brought your specific requests to the Lord. We asked that He would make His presence very real to you, that you would know His strength and upholding hand each day according to His promise to not fear for He is with you. We asked that He would fight for you, defend you, bring hidden things into the light in His time, frustrate what is not His will, and give you victory while keeping your heart free from bitterness and unforgiveness. We prayed that He would establish the good work of your hands, remove obstacles that should be removed, bring clarity where there is confusion, and give you favor with the right people. We asked for wisdom and integrity, for discernment, courage, humility and the right words in every conversation and decision, that you would act fairly and honestly without being driven by fear, pressure or emotion. We prayed for unity and good outcomes where you serve, that truth and fairness would guide every situation and that the right people would be brought together in peace and cooperation. We asked for wisdom to handle trust and confidential matters well, to know what to share, what to keep private, and when to seek wise counsel.
We also lifted up your work, education and future, asking God to give you understanding, discipline and favor and to open the right doors for learning and for meaningful work. We prayed for financial provision and stability, for wisdom to steward what you have, for relief from pressure and for guidance toward a peaceful and secure future. We asked for His provision for suitable accommodation and for a stable home in His timing. We prayed that He would teach you to start faithfully with what is in your hand, to learn patiently, to use resources well and to build what is useful and sustainable. We prayed for your family, for health, healing, peace and balance for you and for those you love. We asked that He would order your steps, close the wrong doors and open the right ones, and give you clear direction about what to pursue, what to wait for, what to learn and what to release. We asked that He would renew your strength, restore what has been lost, and help you persevere and not give up, so that you will see His goodness in the land of the living.
We also prayed as you asked for others who are struggling silently, that God would meet each one at the point of need, comfort, provide, heal and make a way where there seems to be no way.
Above all we pray that you will remain faithful, peaceful and hopeful, taking one step at a time and trusting His perfect timing. He sees you, He hears you when you cry to Him, and He is faithful to keep you. Amen.
