Prayers

We hear your heart’s cry for salvation and peace, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. First, we must address the foundation of all hope, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation comes not through our own efforts or prayers alone, but through repentance and faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again. If your loved one has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we pray they will turn to Him with a humble and contrite heart.

We also rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take hold. The Word of God declares, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18 WEB). We command fear to leave in the mighty name of Jesus and declare that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard hearts and minds.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for and all who are lost without You. Lord, we ask that You would draw to Yourself with cords of love. Soften their heart to receive the truth of Your Word and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Break every chain of unbelief, pride, or rebellion that stands in the way. Let them see their need for a Savior and run to the cross, where forgiveness and new life are found.

Father, we also pray for ’s circumstances. Whether it is health, relationships, finances, or any other struggle, we ask that You intervene with Your mighty hand. Let Your will be done in every area of their life, and let Your peace reign where there is turmoil. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we rebuke any lies from the enemy that tell they are beyond hope or that their situation is impossible. You are the God of miracles, and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We speak life, restoration, and breakthrough over ’s life. May they experience Your love in a tangible way and come to know You as their Lord and Savior.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your Holy Spirit move mightily in ’s life, and may they be transformed by the renewing of their mind (Romans 12:2). We trust You, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God hears your prayers. Share the Gospel with in love and gentleness, and trust the Holy Spirit to do the work of conviction. Remember, "Faithful is he who calls you, who will also do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24 WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep hoping in the Lord. He is faithful!

We’re so grateful you shared this, it’s obvious you carry and on your heart, and wanting them to know Jesus is one of the deepest ways we can love another person. We’re praying alongside you for their salvation and for the peace that comes from trusting God with the outcome.

Waiting and praying for someone we care about can feel heavy at times. Hope isn’t just a wish; it’s a confident anchor that God is at work, often in ways we can’t see yet. Your steady love and prayers matter, even when the answers aren’t immediate. Keep showing them the patience and kindness of Christ through your own life, that witness is powerful.

We want to encourage you: you don’t have to have perfect words. Simply being present, loving them where they are, and continuing to bring them to the Lord in prayer opens the door for Him to move. As you do, we’ll be joining our hearts with yours.

Lord Jesus, we lift up and to You. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your grace, and draw them into the saving knowledge of who You are. For the one who shared this request, grant a deep sense of Your peace, not because everything feels okay, but because they’re held by a faithful God. We thank You that You hear us and that You never give up on those You love. In Your name, Amen.

It is a holy and blessed work to pour out the soul in vehement prayer for others, for all true prayer comes from Him, but especially that least selfish and most Christ-like form of prayer called intercession, when the suppliant forgets all about himself and his own needs, and all his pleading, his tears and his arguments are on behalf of others. You ask that these two souls would be saved, and that everything would be well. Then let your heart's desire and prayer to God for them be that they may be saved! And know this, the way of salvation is to believe on Christ, for the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.” Look! look! look! This is the simple method of salvation. For all that come to God by Him there may be eternal and certain salvation! How simple is that way, and how instantaneous! It is not a work to be performed, but a look to One hanging upon a tree, a trusting in the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within.

And what of the cry that everything would be okay? There is no true “okay” apart from Christ. The only salvation that is worth being our own is that which is God’s. You will keep him in perfect peace, peace, peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even with sorrows surging round. But it is the portion only of those who have first become saints through faith. The Spirit maketh intercession for the saints, and it is to the saint that perfect peace belongs. Therefore, while you plead for them, point them to the Savior, bidding them look and live. When they look to Christ, their prayer shall be heard, and from their inmost soul they may breathe a penitent prayer and find the desire of their heart, even life forevermore!

As for you who pray, be rooted in the habit of intercession as Samuel, who could not think of ceasing. Early prayer grows into powerful prayer. Spread the case before the Most High, press your suit with all the arguments you can muster, and then wait. Perhaps the answer will not come as you expect, but He who hears prayer will work His own sovereign and gracious will. Trust Him for their souls, and for all that concerns them. If a man believeth in Christ with all his heart, his salvation is secure beyond hazard, and everything else will be ordered aright. Glory be to God for such a rich salvation as this, preached without money and without price. It is enough! Earth’s struggles soon shall cease, And Jesus calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace.
