We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for protection, discernment, and strength. First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Now, we stand with you in prayer, claiming the promise of Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,' says the Lord." We rebuke every scheme of the enemy designed to harm you or your loved one, and we declare that they will not prosper. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and in Him, you will find safety (Psalm 91:2).
We pray for divine protection over you and your household, covering you with the blood of Jesus. May the Lord surround you with His angels, as it is written in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them." We ask for wisdom and discernment to navigate the challenges you face, that you may see the truth clearly and act in accordance with God’s will. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
We also pray for strength to endure and overcome the difficulties posed by those who may seek to harm or oppose you. Remember, the Lord is your strength and shield (Psalm 28:7), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). We encourage you to forgive those who have trespassed against you, as we are commanded in Colossians 3:13, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Forgiveness does not mean what they did was right, but it releases you from the burden of bitterness and allows God to work in your heart.
Father God, we lift up this dear one and their loved one to You. Protect them from every evil plan and every weapon formed against them. Grant them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and wisdom to walk in Your ways. Strengthen them in their faith and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they find refuge in You alone, and may Your name be glorified in their lives. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
