We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and you, seeking His divine protection, wisdom, and strength in the face of adversity. The Bible assures us in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" We claim this promise over your lives, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as Isaiah 54:17 tells us, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh."
Father, we ask for Your hedge of protection to surround them, shielding them from the harm and ill intentions of trespassers, neighbors, coworkers, and managers. Grant them discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and wisdom to navigate every situation with grace and truth. In James 1:5, we are reminded, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We pray that You would fill them with Your wisdom and understanding, guiding their steps and decisions.
Lord, we also lift up your son’s travels for his girlfriend’s graduation. We ask for Your travel mercies to be upon him and all who have gathered for this joyous occasion. Keep them safe from all harm and danger, and let Your presence go before them. Psalm 121:7-8 declares, "Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more."
We pray for the graduates, who have sacrificed so much to complete their education. Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them, providing employment that will allow them to pay off their student loans and thrive in their careers. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We trust in Your provision and timing for these graduates, believing that You will reward their hard work and perseverance.
Father, we must also address the mention of your son’s girlfriend. While we rejoice in the celebration of her graduation, we encourage you both to consider the biblical principles of relationships. The Bible calls us to pursue godly marriages, where both individuals are committed to Christ and to one another in a lifelong covenant. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are warned, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" If this relationship is not centered on Christ or moving toward marriage, we urge you to seek God’s will and counsel in this area, ensuring that it aligns with His Word.
Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of coming before God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, as John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you or your son have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus, we encourage you to do so, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, offering us eternal life and a personal relationship with God.
Heavenly Father, we lift all these requests to You, trusting in Your goodness, mercy, and power. Strengthen this family, protect them, and guide them according to Your perfect will. May they walk in Your ways, experiencing Your peace and provision in every area of their lives. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
