Prayers

Beloved of All
Please, I need prayers urgently. My ### has a severe mental illness and won't stop yelling at my ### and threatening to call her pension to get suspended. I can't take his calls anymore and witness his behaviour, because is mental illness he doesn't understand the sin and issues he's causing. Jesus Christ help him to heal and perhaps move to ### as they are travelling soon there and dragging my ###. Jesus Christ please let him get a job there and leave us alone.

We lift you up in this heartbreaking and overwhelming situation, knowing how deeply mental illness can wound both the afflicted and those who love them. The pain you’re enduring is seen by our Heavenly Father, who cares for the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). While we grieve with you over the suffering and chaos this illness has brought, we also recognize that sin—even when influenced by mental distress—still carries consequences. The threats, anger, and manipulation you describe are not only harmful but dishonor the Lord, who calls us to speak with grace and to act in love (Colossians 4:6, Ephesians 4:29). Though your loved one’s mind may be clouded, we must pray for both healing *and* repentance, for God is able to restore what is broken in body, mind, and spirit.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we rebuke the spiritual forces at work in this torment—whether through illness, generational strongholds, or unchecked sin. Mental illness is real, but it does not excuse cruelty or absolve responsibility before God. We pray for wisdom for you to set godly boundaries, for you are not called to endure abuse in the name of love. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* If this person refuses help or repentance, you may need to create space for your own protection and peace, trusting God to work in their heart apart from your direct involvement.

We also hear your cry for this person to move away and find stability elsewhere. While we pray for their provision and healing, we must surrender the *how* and *when* to the Lord’s sovereignty. He may use this season to draw your loved one to Himself—or to shield you from further harm. Either way, your trust in Jesus through this trial is a testimony of His faithfulness.

Let us pray together:

*"Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Healer. Lord, You see the devastation wrought by mental illness in this family—the anger, the threats, the exhaustion, and the grief. We ask for Your supernatural intervention. Touch this man’s mind, Lord. Rewire what is broken, calm what is chaotic, and deliver him from any spiritual oppression that fuels his rage. Soften his heart to receive the help he needs, whether through medicine, counseling, or Your direct miracle. Convict him of sin where it exists, and lead him to repentance. Break the cycle of harm in Jesus’ name.

We pray for our sister, who is weary and wounded. Grant her Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the courage to set boundaries that honor You. Show her when to speak, when to act, and when to step back, trusting You to fight for her. Provide for her financially, emotionally, and spiritually as she navigates this storm. If it is Your will, open doors for this man to relocate and find work, that distance might bring relief—but let Your purpose prevail above all.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Bind the enemy’s schemes to divide, confuse, or destroy. Let Your light expose every darkness, and let Your truth set captives free. We ask for Your perfect will to unfold, even when it’s painful, knowing You work all things for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and the only name by which we are saved, we pray. Amen."*

---
**A Word of Encouragement:**
You are not powerless, though it may feel that way. The Lord has given you authority in Christ to stand against the enemy’s attacks (Luke 10:19), and He has promised to be your refuge (Psalm 9:9). If you haven’t already, seek support from your church or a biblical counselor who can help you navigate this with wisdom. You do not have to carry this alone.

If this man is a believer, remind him (when safe to do so) of verses like **1 Corinthians 6:19-20**: *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Mental illness does not negate our call to holiness, and God’s grace is sufficient to meet us in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

If he is not a believer, pray that this suffering would drive him to the foot of the cross. There is no pit so deep that God’s love cannot reach it (Psalm 139:7-10). Keep speaking truth in love, but guard your heart from bitterness. The Lord is your strength—lean on Him.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate this storm. We know the weight of mental illness can feel overwhelming, and the pain it causes to both the afflicted and their loved ones is immense. We're praying for your loved one, that God would touch their mind, bring clarity, and calm the chaos. We're asking for healing, yes, but also for conviction where sin is present, and repentance where it's needed. We're interceding for you too, that you'd find peace and wisdom to set godly boundaries. We trust that God sees your situation and is working all things for your good.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting this heavy burden before the Lord alongside you. The weight of caring for someone struggling with severe mental illness—especially when it brings such chaos and pain into your home—is not something anyone should bear alone. We have been earnestly praying for God’s supernatural peace to guard your heart and mind, for His healing touch to restore clarity and calm to your loved one’s spirit, and for divine intervention to break the cycle of harm and fear you’ve been enduring.

We know how exhausting it is to face relentless accusations, threats, and the emotional toll of watching someone you love act out of their illness rather than their true self. You’ve carried this with such grace, even in your desperation, and we want you to know we’ve been pleading with the Father to move mightily in this situation. We’ve asked Him to open doors for your loved one to find stable work in their new location, to provide a fresh start where distance can bring relief and restoration for all of you. Most of all, we’ve prayed for God’s protection over your heart—for Him to shield you from bitterness, to renew your strength, and to remind you that He sees every tear and every sleepless night.

If the Lord has begun to answer in any way—whether through a moment of unexpected peace, a change in circumstances, or even the smallest glimmer of hope—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Sometimes His answers come gradually, like the first light of dawn, and we’d be blessed to rejoice with you over every step forward. But if this trial still feels as heavy as ever, please don’t hesitate to post again. We will continue to stand with you, to cry out for breakthrough, and to trust that God is working even when we can’t yet see it. His timing is perfect, and His love for you and your family is deeper than any storm you’re facing.

May He surround you with His presence today, filling the gaps where your strength has run thin. May He give you wisdom to know how to respond, supernatural patience to endure, and the unshakable assurance that you are not forgotten. We’re still here, still praying, and still believing for His redemption in this hard place.

In Jesus’ powerful name.
