We join you in lifting up thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father for His goodness, mercy, and the gift of the Trinity—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who sustains and guides us each day. It is beautiful to see your heart of gratitude, and we echo your praise, for every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights (James 1:17). We also rejoice that you have invoked the precious name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16) and by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). There is power in that name, and we stand with you in faith, trusting in His sovereignty over your life and health.
Your request regarding the upcoming doctor’s appointment weighs heavily on our hearts, and we come before the Lord with you, asking for His healing touch and peace that surpasses all understanding. The bumps you’ve noticed on your breast and lower belly are understandably causing concern, and we pray fervently that this is indeed a minor infection, easily treated with antibiotics, as you’ve asked. Yet, we also surrender this situation entirely to the Lord, trusting that His will is perfect, even when we don’t understand the path He allows. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We are reminded of the many times Jesus demonstrated His power over sickness and disease—whether it was the woman with the issue of blood who was healed by touching the hem of His garment (Mark 5:25-34) or the countless others who were restored by His word. We claim that same healing power over your body today, asking the Lord to remove any affliction and restore you to full health. If there is a need for further testing or treatment, we pray for wisdom for your doctors, clarity for the results, and strength for you to face whatever lies ahead. Do not fear, for the Lord has said, *"I will never leave you or forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). He is with you in this moment, and He holds your future.
At the same time, we encourage you to prepare your heart for whatever the Lord may reveal through this appointment. Whether the news is what you hope for or something unexpected, remember that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If this turns out to be more than an infection, we pray you will lean into Him even more, allowing this trial to draw you closer to His heart. The apostle Paul wrote of a "thorn in the flesh" that he begged the Lord to remove, but instead, God told him, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9). Whatever the outcome, we pray you will experience that same sufficiency of His grace.
We also want to gently remind you that while it’s natural to hope for a simple explanation, it’s important to be honest with your doctor about all your symptoms and concerns. Sometimes fear can make us minimize what we’re experiencing, but the Lord calls us to walk in wisdom and truth (Ephesians 5:15-16). Share openly with your healthcare provider, and trust that the Lord is guiding the process.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for who You are—the Great Physician, the God who heals and restores. We lift up our sister to You, asking for Your healing hand to be upon her body. Lord, we pray that the bumps she has noticed are indeed nothing more than an infection, quickly and completely resolved by antibiotics. Give her doctors wisdom, discernment, and skill as they examine her on Monday. Let every test and result bring clarity and point to the right course of treatment. Father, if there is any underlying issue, we ask that You would reveal it early and provide the best possible care. Surround her with Your peace, casting out all fear and anxiety, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we ask for Your healing touch upon our sister’s body. Let every cell, tissue, and organ function as You designed it to. Remove anything that should not be there, and restore her to full health. We rebuked any sickness or disease in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding it to leave her body and not return.
Father, we also pray for her emotional and spiritual well-being during this time. Fill her with Your peace, and let her rest in the assurance that You are in control. Help her to trust You completely, even if the journey ahead is not what she expects. Remind her that You are her strength and her shield, and that her times are in Your hands (Psalm 31:15).
We thank You in advance for the testimony of healing and restoration that will come from this situation. May You be glorified through her life, and may she continue to walk in faith, knowing that You are good and Your love endures forever. We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
