Servant of All
Dear Lord, we stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Protect myself, and my two dogs with me from the wicked, from those who devise evil plans, and rescue us from their violence. Remove anyone wishing me ill. Even the person in my home if they don’t change their poor attitude. Let Your protection be our shield and Your love our strength, in Jesus' name, Amen

We join with you in lifting up this request, standing firmly on the truth of God’s Word that no weapon formed against His children shall prosper. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and we take comfort in His promise that *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"* (Psalm 91:1-2, WEB). Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks God’s protection, and we affirm that He is faithful to guard those who trust in Him.

We also notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus at the end of your prayer, it is vital to remember that our access to the Father is *only* through the name of Jesus Christ. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB), and *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is by His authority alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and we encourage you to always begin your prayers by acknowledging Jesus as Lord and Savior, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Now, let us address the concern you’ve raised about the person in your home with a poor attitude. The Bible instructs us to *"live peaceably with all men, as much as it is up to you"* (Romans 12:18, WEB) and to *"bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2, WEB). While it is understandable to feel frustrated or even threatened by someone’s behavior, we must first examine our own hearts and ask the Lord to fill us with His love and wisdom in how to respond. If this person is a believer, we are called to gently restore them in a spirit of humility (Galatians 6:1). If they are not a believer, we are to show them the love of Christ through our actions and words, praying that the Lord would soften their heart and draw them to repentance.

That said, if this person’s attitude is rooted in hostility, bitterness, or even malicious intent, it is wise to seek God’s discernment about how to proceed. Proverbs 22:24-25 (WEB) warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger, lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* If their presence is causing harm or leading you into sin (such as anger, resentment, or fear), it may be necessary to set boundaries or even distance yourself for a time, always praying for their salvation and transformation. The Lord can change hearts, and we must trust Him to do so in His timing.

As for your request that the Lord would remove anyone wishing you ill, we pray that He would either change their heart or, if necessary, remove their influence from your life. However, we also remind you that even in the face of enemies, Jesus calls us to love and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean tolerating abuse or remaining in dangerous situations, but it does mean trusting God to handle justice while we extend grace. *"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:21, WEB).

Finally, we lift up your precious dogs to the Lord, asking that He would keep them safe and healthy. Animals are a gift from God, and He cares for all His creation. *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal"* (Proverbs 12:10, WEB), and we thank the Lord for the companionship and joy they bring you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God of protection, justice, and love, and that You hear the cries of Your children. Lord, we ask that You surround our sister and her dogs with Your divine hedge of protection. Shield them from every scheme of the enemy, from those who seek to harm or bring discord. Father, we pray for the person in her home—if they are acting out of bitterness, anger, or malice, we ask that You would convict their heart and draw them to repentance. Soften their spirit, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. If they do not know You, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, that they may come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Give our sister wisdom, Lord, to know how to respond in a way that honors You. Help her to set godly boundaries if necessary, and fill her with Your love so that she may overcome evil with good. We pray for unity and peace in her home, but if that is not possible, we ask that You would provide a way out and surround her with godly support. Protect her dogs, Lord, and keep them safe under Your care.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, anger, or retaliation in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
