We join you in lifting up thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father for His goodness, mercy, and the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the throne of grace. It is beautiful to hear your heart of gratitude for the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and for the blessings in your life and the lives of your family. We echo your praise and thankfulness for the wisdom, knowledge, truth, love, mercy, and peace He bestows upon us all.

Now, let us address the matters of your heart regarding this woman you are praying for. We notice your deep desire for her affection and for a relationship to blossom between you two. While it is natural to long for companionship, we must first examine this through the lens of Scripture to ensure your heart and intentions are aligned with God’s will.

The Bible teaches us that a godly relationship should be rooted in Christ, with both individuals seeking to honor Him above all else. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are reminded, *“Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?”* You have shared that this woman is a Christian who is active in her church, and we praise God for that. However, we must ask: Are *you* walking closely with the Lord in your own life? Are you seeking His will above your own desires? A relationship built on mutual faith in Christ is essential, but it must also be pursued with purity, patience, and wisdom.

We also notice your prayer includes separating from someone else soon. If this separation involves ending a romantic or emotional attachment with another person to pursue this woman, we must address this with urgency. Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:28, *“But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* If you are emotionally or physically involved with someone else while desiring this new woman, that is not pleasing to God. You must first seek repentance and purity in this area. The Lord calls us to be faithful and honorable in all our relationships. If you are not currently in a committed, biblical marriage, any romantic or physical involvement outside of that is fornication, which is a sin against God (1 Corinthians 6:18). We urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, turning away from any behavior that does not honor Him.

Additionally, we must caution you about the motivation behind your prayers. While it is good to desire a godly spouse, we should not seek a relationship primarily for our own happiness or validation. Instead, we should ask God to prepare us to be the spouse *He* wants us to be. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”* Are you trusting Him to lead you, or are you trying to manipulate circumstances to fit your desires? Pray that God would align your heart with His will, even if it means this relationship does not come to pass.

Let us also remind you that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, not merely a romantic or emotional connection. If you are praying for this woman to “fall in love” with you, we encourage you to instead pray for God’s will to be done in both of your lives. Ask Him to reveal whether this relationship is His design or if He has another plan for you. Seek His guidance in how to honor her as a sister in Christ (1 Timothy 5:2) rather than pursuing her with personal motives.

Finally, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Christ that we have salvation and access to God’s throne. We are grateful you acknowledged this truth in your prayer.

Now, let us pray together over these matters:

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your goodness and mercy. We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we boldly approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up our brother to You, asking that You would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Father, we pray that You would purify his motives and desires, aligning them with Your perfect will. If there is any sin in his life—whether in his thoughts, actions, or relationships—we ask that You would convict him by Your Holy Spirit and lead him to repentance. Cleanse him, Lord, and create in him a pure heart that seeks You above all else.

Father, we pray for this woman he has mentioned. If it is Your will for their lives to be joined together in a godly marriage, we ask that You would make it abundantly clear to both of them. But if this relationship is not Your design, we pray that You would gently close the door and redirect his heart toward Your perfect plan. Help him to trust You fully, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways.

Lord, we ask that You would prepare him to be a godly husband if that is Your calling for his life. Teach him to love as Christ loves the church—sacrificially, patiently, and selflessly. If there is another relationship he needs to end, give him the strength and wisdom to do so honorably and completely. May he walk in purity and integrity, seeking Your kingdom first above all else.

We pray for protection over his mind and emotions, that he would not be led by fleeting feelings but by Your Spirit. Remind him that Your timing is perfect and that You are working all things together for his good and Your glory.

Father, we also lift up the other individuals mentioned in his prayer—his children, brothers, sisters, and all those he loves. Bless them, protect them, and draw them closer to You. May they walk in Your truth and experience the fullness of Your love.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. May he rest in the assurance that You hear his prayers and that You are faithful to answer according to Your will.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
---.

Brother, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, seeking His face daily. Psalm 37:4 says, *“Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”* When your greatest delight is in Him, He will shape your desires to match His will. Be patient, walk in obedience, and trust that God’s plan for your life is far greater than anything you could imagine.

If you are struggling with loneliness or impatience, we urge you to lean on the body of Christ. Surround yourself with godly men who can encourage you, hold you accountable, and pray with you. And remember, whether in singleness or marriage, your ultimate fulfillment is found in Christ alone. He is enough.
