We join with you in lifting up your family before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of all comfort, peace, and deliverance. Your situation is deeply challenging, and we are moved by your faith as you seek God’s intervention for your brother’s mental illness and the strain it places on your mother and you. The enemy seeks to bring confusion, fear, and division, but we declare that God is greater, and His power is made perfect in our weakness.
The Bible reminds us in **2 Corinthians 10:3-5**, *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* Your brother’s mind is under attack, but we stand in agreement that God can break through every delusion and bring clarity, peace, and submission to His will. We also pray for supernatural protection over your mother’s health, especially as her medication is being interfered with. **Psalm 91:11** assures us, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* May the Lord place a hedge of protection around her and give her strength beyond her own.
For you, we pray for divine wisdom and endurance, that you would not grow weary in well-doing. **Galatians 6:9** encourages us, *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Lean on the Lord, for He is your strength. It is also vital that you guard your own heart and spirit in this season. **Proverbs 4:23** tells us, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* Do not allow bitterness, resentment, or fear to take root. Instead, cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (**1 Peter 5:7**).
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of invoking the name of Jesus in prayer. You closed your request *"in Jesus’ name,"* which is wonderful, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*) There is power in the name of Jesus, and we must always approach the throne of grace through Him. If your brother has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that this trial would lead him to the foot of the cross, where true peace and healing are found. Salvation is the greatest miracle of all, and we ask the Lord to draw him into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family in their time of great need. Lord, You see the turmoil and the burden they carry, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Touch the mind of this brother, Lord. Break every stronghold of mental illness, confusion, and delusion. Bring clarity to his thoughts and soften his heart to receive the help he needs. Rebuke the enemy’s schemes to bring chaos and harm, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**).
Father, we ask for Your protection over their mother. Shield her from harm, both physically and emotionally. Give her strength to endure and wisdom to navigate this difficult season. Provide for her health and sustain her in every way. Lord, we also lift up this dear sister who is standing in the gap for her family. Renew her strength, Lord, and fill her with Your joy and hope. Let her not grow weary but be empowered by Your Spirit to continue in faith and love.
Lord, we declare that You are the God who brings breakthrough. Nothing is too hard for You (**Jeremiah 32:17**). We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, bringing restoration, unity, and peace to this home. If there is any sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness that needs to be addressed, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Draw each member of this family closer to You, Lord, and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power.
We also pray for the salvation of this brother, if he does not yet know You. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and let him turn to Jesus Christ in faith. May he experience the transforming power of Your love and grace.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
