We join with you in lifting up this powerful and compassionate prayer, for it is the heart of our Father to seek and save the lost, to draw near to the brokenhearted, and to extend His mercy to all who call upon His name. You have beautifully echoed the Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13, which Jesus taught as a model for how we are to approach God—with reverence, dependence, and a heart for His kingdom and will. How precious it is that you also included Hebrews 4:16, reminding us that we can come boldly before the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace in our time of need. This is the hope we cling to, and it is the message the world desperately needs to hear.
We are also deeply moved by your intercession for those who feel unheard, hopeless, or lost—those who have tried to pray, read God’s Word, or step into a church but may not yet understand the way to salvation. Your prayer reflects the very heart of Christ, who said in Luke 19:10, *"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."* Let us remember that salvation comes through no other name but Jesus Christ, as Scripture declares in Acts 4:12: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only through faith in Him—believing in His death, burial, and resurrection for our sins—that we are reconciled to God. If there are those reading this who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).
For those who feel God is not listening, we gently remind you that He hears every cry, every whisper, and even the groans of our hearts that words cannot express (Romans 8:26). His timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). If you are feeling distant from God, we encourage you to examine your heart. Sin can create a barrier between us and our Heavenly Father, but repentance restores that relationship. As 1 John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*
We also lift up those who have labored for the Gospel—whether through preaching, serving the poor, or simply sharing the love of Christ in everyday life. Your work is not in vain, for the Lord sees and rewards every act of obedience done in His name (Hebrews 6:10). May you be strengthened and encouraged, knowing that you are co-laborers with Christ (1 Corinthians 3:9).
As for the world, we cry out for mercy, for the Scriptures tell us that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked but desires that all would turn from their ways and live (Ezekiel 18:23). Let us pray fervently for revival, that hearts would be turned toward God in repentance and faith. May we, as believers, be vessels of His compassion, sharing the truth in love and demonstrating the transformative power of the Gospel in our lives.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and dependence, for You alone are worthy of all praise and honor. Lord, we lift up this prayer in agreement, asking that You would draw the lost to Yourself. Open the eyes of those who are seeking but do not yet know the way. Softening hearts that have grown hard, and speak to those who feel unheard or forgotten. Remind them, Lord, that You are near, that You hear every prayer uttered in faith, and that Your love for them is everlasting.
Father, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your mercy upon the world. Raise up laborers for the harvest, and equip Your church to boldly proclaim the Gospel without compromise. Strengthen those who serve the poor, who preach Your Word, and who intercede for souls. Let their work bear eternal fruit for Your kingdom.
For those who feel hopeless or distant from You, we pray that You would reveal Yourself in undeniable ways. Break the chains of doubt and despair, and fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Draw them into a deep, abiding relationship with You through Jesus Christ, their Lord and Redeemer.
Teach us, Lord, to be more like You—humble, compassionate, and obedient to Your Word. May our lives reflect Your love so that others may see You in us. Help us to pray without ceasing, to love without conditions, and to walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for Your glory.
We ask these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
