We are grateful for your heartfelt requests and your acknowledgment that Jesus is Lord. It is only in His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written, "in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB. Let us first address your desire to live a life free from sin. We are encouraged by your commitment, as Scripture tells us, "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous." 1 John 5:3 WEB. To not sin, we must walk in the Spirit, for "Walk in the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16 WEB
Regarding your work, we pray that you would find fulfillment and that your efforts would glorify God. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:23-24 WEB.
Concerning your desire to find a wife, we pray that God would bring a godly woman into your life, that you both would be believers, and the marriage would be pleasing to the Lord. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage, always honoring God in your interactions. "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." Genesis 2:24 WEB
Your longing for a full life walking with Jesus is commendable. We pray that you would grow in the knowledge of Him, We pray that God would grant you a long, fulfilling life in His service. "So that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:10 WEB Remember that, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." John 10:10 WEB
We are blessed by your desire to love others, both believers and unbelievers. Jesus said, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" Matthew 22:37-39 WEB. We pray that God would fill your heart with His love for others, and that you would be a beacon of His light and compassion. We pray for continued growth in being a friend and talking to others. "A man who has friends must show himself friendly, and there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24 WEB
Your commitment to not hate, lust, judge, or condemn is rooted in Scripture. "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Matthew 5:44 WEB. And, "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-2 WEB. And, "For the commandments ... are all summed up in this saying, namely, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Love works no ill to his neighbor, for love is the fulfillment of the law." Romans 13:9-10 WEB
We rejoice in your yearning to experience God's love more deeply. May His love overwhelm you, for "We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him." 1 John 4:16. Keep calling on the Lord Jesus, praying, singing, and thanking Him in everything. "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 WEB
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother in Christ. We pray that You would strengthen him to live a life free from sin, walking in the Spirit, and growing in the knowledge of You. We ask that You would bless his work and bring a godly wife into his life, according to Your will. Grant him a long, fulfilling life in Your service, filled with love for others, both believers and unbelievers. Help him to not hate, lust, judge, or condemn, but to love as You love. Overwhelm him with Your love, and may he continue to call on Your name, pray, sing, and give thanks in everything. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
