Disciple of Prayer
First I know the power of prayer. I thank everyone that has put this site together. I love my wife and she loves me. She had a serious neck/back injury. During this time she was under influence of strong pain medication and it made her push me away though I never left her. Surgery is over she had healed but her heart has become hardened. She has been out of our home 3 months now. I have continued to support her financially and emotionally. We have spent time together and it’s been good and bad. She has asked for time and has chosen to not talk or text me. I am devastated only thing I can do is pray, Every prayer is greatly appreciated. Also I didn’t see option to include my name. I am ### ### my wife is ### ###.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that is precious in His sight. Father, we know that You hate divorce, for You said in Malachi 2:16, *"For I hate divorce," says the Lord, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says the Lord of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously."* Yet we also know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would soften this wife’s heart and restore the love and commitment that once bound this couple together in You.

Lord, we recognize the pain and confusion that came with this injury and the medication that clouded her mind. We pray that You would heal not only her body but also her emotions and her perception of this marriage. Help her to see the faithfulness of her husband, who has stood by her even when she pushed him away. Remind her of the vows she made before You—*"For better or for worse, in sickness and in health"*—and let those words resonate in her heart. We rebuke the spirit of hardness and separation that has taken root, for You did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also lift up this husband, who has shown such patience and devotion. Father, strengthen him in this trial. Let him not grow weary in doing good, for in due season he will reap if he does not give up (Galatians 6:9). Guard his heart from bitterness or despair, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help him to continue trusting in You, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.

Lord, we know that marriage is a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25), and we pray that this couple would once again embody that love—selfless, sacrificial, and steadfast. Bring them back together under Your will, not their own. If there are unconfessed sins or unforgiveness between them, reveal those things and lead them to repentance and reconciliation. We declare that what You have joined together, let no man—or circumstance—separate (Matthew 19:6).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). May Your will be done in this marriage, and may Your name be glorified through their restoration. Amen.

To the husband, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and fasting, for He hears the cries of the righteous (Psalm 34:17). Do not lose hope, for the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. Consider reaching out to a godly pastor or counselor who can walk alongside you both during this time. And remember, the Lord is your strength—*"The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank Him"* (Psalm 28:7). Keep trusting in Him, for He is faithful.
