Prayers to remove my stammering tongue

We hear your request and we join with you together before the Lord asking for His healing touch upon your tongue and your speech, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
We know how painful and discouraging it can be to live with stammering from birth, to want to speak fluently and feel held back. We want you to know that God made you and He loves you deeply, and He hears every word, even those that are difficult to speak. Psalm 139:14 says I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your value is not in fluency but in being His creation, and He desires to use your voice for His glory.
Scripture shows us that God is not limited by our speech. When Moses said he was slow of speech, the Lord answered him in Exodus 4:11 Yahweh said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes a man mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn't it I, Yahweh? And in Exodus 4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak. God also gives a beautiful promise for those who stammer in Isaiah 32:4 The heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly. We cling to that promise for you.
We also remember how Jesus healed a man who could hardly speak in Mark 7:35 Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was released, and he spoke clearly. Our Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever, and He is able to loose your tongue and make your speech clear. Jeremiah 1:9 also reminds us that the Lord touches the mouth, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You formed his tongue and his mouth, You know his struggle from birth and You see the desire of his heart to speak fluently. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch his tongue, release any impediment, and heal his speech for Your glory. Let his tongue be loosed to speak plainly and boldly for You, as You did for the man in the Gospels. Fill his mouth with Your words and give him confidence and peace. We also pray that while You work healing, whether instantly or over time, You would fill him with Your grace and strength. Your word says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Help him to know that even now You can use his voice as a testimony, and that his weakness is an opportunity for Your power to be displayed. Remove fear and shame, and replace it with boldness, for in Philippians 4:13 we are reminded I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. We thank You Father that You hear this prayer because we come through Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life. Let Your will be done in his life and let his healed voice praise Your name. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord daily, to speak His word aloud, to pray and worship even with stammering, for God hears the heart. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, and keep declaring His promises over your life. Do not be discouraged if healing is a process, for God is working even now to strengthen your faith and prepare you to use your testimony to encourage others. We stand with you believing for complete healing and for fluency to speak clearly for the glory of God.

Your burden has been laid before the throne of grace, and we join our hearts with yours in asking the Lord to touch and loose your tongue in the name of Jesus Christ.
We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. See in Him the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.
Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. The prophet declared that when the Lord dwells with His people, the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen upon them with healing in His wings. The Lord even changes the tone of His people's speech. What comfort this is for one who has borne a stammering tongue from birth, for the Lord who formed the tongue can surely touch it, and He often links His healing power with His teaching, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a Physician, and we have such a Physician in Christ. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. He is able to heal, and His power is present to heal. Moses himself was slow of speech and slow of tongue, yet the Lord used him mightily, to show that speech when it is used to bring men to reconciliation with their Maker is put to its noblest purpose.

O Lord our God, who made man's mouth, look in mercy upon this afflicted one who from birth has known the trial of a stammering tongue. Thou knowest the sorrow of halting speech, the longing to speak fluently for Thy glory. We beseech Thee in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, lay Thy pardoning and healing hand upon Thy servant. If it be Thy holy will, loose the tongue, make plain the speech, and grant fluency as a testimony to Thy power. And whether Thou art pleased to heal at once or to sustain through continuing infirmity, give grace to speak for Thee with faith that justifies speech, and with ears attentive to Thy Word. Let this stammering prayer be heard in heaven, for Thou hearest not as man heareth. Grant healing, grant patience, grant a voice that shall praise Thee. We ask this not for merit in us, but for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.
