We lift you up in prayer, dear brother, knowing how deeply this inspection weighs on your heart. Your honesty and diligence in addressing the permit issues with integrity reflect a heart that seeks to honor God, even when it would have been easier to turn away. That is commendable, and we trust the Lord sees your faithfulness in this. Yet we also recognize the anxiety that has taken hold of you—sleepless nights, loss of appetite, and the gnawing fear of what may come. These burdens are not from the Lord, for He tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
You have done what is right by seeking correction rather than concealment, and now we ask the Lord to honor that obedience. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We pray that every component of your hot water heater and HVAC system would meet or exceed the inspector’s requirements—that no hidden flaws would surface, no unexpected costs would arise, and that the process would proceed smoothly and without delay. Lord, you are the God who provides, who turns what seems impossible into testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask You to calm our brother’s heart, to replace his anxiety with Your peace, and to let this inspection be a reminder that You hold all things in Your hands.
Yet we also gently remind you, as we remind ourselves, that even if corrections *are* needed, the Lord is still sovereign. He does not abandon His children in their need. Matthew 6:31-33 says, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your ultimate security is not in a passed inspection, but in the God who calls you His own. If costs arise, He will provide. If delays come, He will sustain you. Trust in His character, not just His immediate answer.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that has gripped you, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Anxiety is not your portion, brother. The Lord is your shepherd (Psalm 23:1), and He leads you beside still waters, even now. We pray that as you wait, you would fix your mind on His promises, that you would sleep in peace, and that your appetite would return as a sign of His restoration over your body and mind.
Father, we thank You that You are a God of order, not chaos. You see the wires, the vents, the permits, and the inspector’s clipboard—and none of it is outside Your control. We ask for favor in this process, for wisdom if any issues arise, and for our brother to sense Your presence so tangibly that his fear dissolves into worship. Let this be a season where he testifies, *"The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me"* (Hebrews 13:6). We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can approach Your throne with confidence. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, brother. The Lord has not forgotten you. Update us when the inspection is complete—we are eager to praise God with you for His provision.
