Prayers to be set free

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me, I'm tired of my kids' father. He uses and abuses me. He doesn't help with anything but pick up and drop off the kids and complains about that. I am tired. I don't want to see him or talk to him. I am tired of being used. We're getting evicted and he doesn't even try to help. Jesus, please help me, save me, please Jesus.

We hear your cry, dear sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your pain is deep, and your weariness is real, but the Lord sees every tear and hears every sigh. You are not alone, and you are not without hope. The God of all comfort is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not abandon you.

First, we must address the reality of your situation with truth and love. The man you speak of is not fulfilling his God-given role as a father or a provider. Scripture is clear that a husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25) and that fathers are to provide for their families (1 Timothy 5:8). His neglect and mistreatment of you are not only sinful but grievous in the sight of God. You have every right to feel exhausted and to desire freedom from this cycle of abuse and disrespect.

We rebuke the spirit of oppression and manipulation that has kept you bound in this toxic dynamic. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that you are set free from the chains of this relationship, not by your own strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. You are a daughter of the Most High God, and no one has the right to treat you as less than the precious creation you are.

We also lift up your children in prayer. They are witnessing this dysfunction, and it grieves the heart of God. We pray that the Lord would shield their hearts and minds, that they would know their worth in Him, and that they would see the love of Christ modeled in your life. May they grow up to honor God in their own relationships, breaking any generational cycles of brokenness.

Regarding your eviction, we stand on the promise that God is your provider. Philippians 4:19 says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that the Lord would open doors of provision for you—whether through employment, community support, or divine intervention. We ask Him to give you wisdom in navigating this challenge and to surround you with people who can offer practical help. Do not hesitate to reach out to your local church or Christian organizations that may assist with housing or financial needs.

You have already called on the name of Jesus, and that is the most powerful thing you can do. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is your Savior, your Redeemer, and your Deliverer. He is the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We encourage you to draw near to Him daily, to pour out your heart before Him, and to trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We also urge you to seek godly counsel and support. Isolation can make you more vulnerable to the enemy’s lies, but community can be a source of strength and encouragement. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety." Reach out to trusted believers, pastors, or Christian counselors who can walk alongside you during this time.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her up to You in the name of Jesus. Lord, You see her pain, her exhaustion, and her desperation for freedom. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who delivers. We ask that You would break every chain of abuse, neglect, and manipulation in her life. Set her free, Lord, from this toxic relationship and restore her to the fullness of life You have for her.

Father, we pray for provision in this time of need. You know her situation—her housing, her finances, and her children’s needs. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for her in ways that only You can. Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this season, and surround her with people who will support and uplift her.

Lord, we ask for healing for her heart. Mend the places that have been broken by mistreatment and neglect. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind her daily of her worth in You. Help her to forgive, not for his sake, but for her own freedom, even as You work justice in this situation.

We declare that she is not a victim but a victor in Christ Jesus. You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen her to walk in the authority You have given her as Your daughter.

We pray for her children, Lord. Protect their hearts and minds from the effects of this broken relationship. Let them see Your love and faithfulness through their mother, and draw them close to You. May they grow up to honor You in all their ways.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Remind her that she is never alone, for You are with her always. We trust You to work all things together for her good, and we thank You for the victory that is already hers in Christ.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Sister, you are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The Lord is fighting for you, even now. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good. Your breakthrough is coming.

Dear sister, we're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We know the weight you carry, the exhaustion you feel, and the longing for freedom. We want you to know that you're not alone, and you're not without hope. Jesus sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you.

We've been thinking about your situation, and we want to encourage you with some things. First, remember that God is your Father, and He loves you deeply. He sees the pain you're in, and He wants to heal you and set you free. We claim that promise over your life today, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed" (Luke 4:18).

We also want to remind you that God is your provider. He promises in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you." Trust Him to open doors of provision for you and your children. He sees your need, and He's more than able to meet it.

We're also praying for your children. We ask that God would protect their hearts and minds, and that they would grow up to know and love Him. We claim the promise in Psalm 127:3 over them, "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep seeking God. He's right there with you, and He wants to speak to you, comfort you, and guide you. Spend time with Him each day, and trust that He's working everything out for your good.

You're in our thoughts and prayers. Keep holding on, sister. Your breakthrough is coming.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your burden in prayer these past days. Our hearts have ached with yours as we lifted up your weariness, your frustration, and your cry for deliverance before the throne of grace. We have asked our Heavenly Father to surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, to strengthen you with His might, and to break every chain of manipulation and neglect that has bound you.

We prayed specifically for wisdom and courage as you navigate this season of eviction and the challenges of co-parenting with someone who has not honored his responsibilities. We asked the Lord to provide for every need, to open doors of opportunity, and to give you the grace to forgive even as you seek His justice. Most of all, we stood in agreement with you, declaring that you are not alone—Jesus sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is working even now to set you free.

If the Lord has moved in your situation in ways you can see—whether through provision, protection, or a fresh sense of His presence—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. If the battle still rages and the weight feels just as heavy, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to lift you up until every promise of God is fulfilled in your life.

May the Holy Spirit fill you with hope and remind you daily that you are cherished, valued, and never abandoned. May He give you the strength to walk in freedom, the wisdom to make decisions that honor Him, and the peace that comes from knowing He fights for you. We continue to pray for you in Jesus’ Name.
