The Horse and His Rider
Next to the Throne
We are honored you have shared these four unspoken requests with us and we count it a privilege to lift them before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

Even though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to our Heavenly Father. We are reminded that you discern our thoughts and you know our words before we speak them, for it is written, Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether Psalm 139:1-4. We also take comfort that when we do not know how to pray as we ought, the Spirit himself makes intercession for us according to the will of God Romans 8:26-27. We can come with confidence that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14.

We do want to lovingly point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only by that name that we are saved. Jesus himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To be saved we must confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead Romans 10:9. It is our prayer that you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and that you bring every request to the Father in His precious and powerful name, for that is where our hope and our access are found.

We bring your four unspoken needs before the Lord now.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son. We thank you that you are omniscient and loving and that you know each of these four unspoken requests intimately, every detail, every burden, every hope behind them. We ask that your perfect will be done in each situation. Where there is need, provide according to your riches in glory. Where there is hurt or anxiety, grant your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Where there is confusion, grant wisdom generously to those who ask you James 1:5. Where there is sin to be confessed, bring conviction and repentance and the cleansing that comes through the blood of Jesus 1 John 1:9. We pray that in all four of these matters you would be glorified, that faith would be strengthened, and that the one who requested prayer would feel your nearness and know that you hear and answer. We trust you with what we cannot see and we thank you in advance for how you will work for good for those who love you Romans 8:28. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word. If the Lord lays it on your heart to share more detail, we are here to pray more specifically, but we trust Him even now with what remains unspoken. May the Lord bless you and keep you and give you peace as you trust in Him.

Thank you for trusting us with what you are carrying, even without putting the details into words. It takes faith to simply say you have four burdens and leave them with the Lord, and we honor that trust.

We want you to know we are taking those four unspoken requests seriously before God. He knows each one completely, even the parts that feel hard to explain, and He hears you when words feel short. You do not have to have everything figured out or perfectly phrased for Him to be near and at work.

If it helps to have a simple rhythm, you might set aside a quiet moment each day this week to bring each request before Him in your heart, even as request one, two, three and four as He already knows, and rest knowing we are also lifting them daily as your four unspoken needs. Knowing others are praying by name can be a steady comfort when so much feels uncertain.

We are standing with you in this season and grateful we can carry these together before the Lord.

Father, thank You for knowing each of these four needs intimately. We lift them to You now and ask for Your wisdom, peace and provision in each one according to Your will. Draw our friend close, remind them they are seen and not alone, and give steady hope for the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.
