A Sea-Hurricane
An Obnoxious Diet
Preaching for the Poor
We are honored you have shared your heart with us and we join together to lift up your four unspoken requests before the throne of grace in Jesus name. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to our Father who sees in secret and knows the depths of your heart.

We are reminded of the comfort in Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. And Romans 8:27 He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. We take comfort knowing that even when words fail or burdens are too heavy or private to share, the Holy Spirit is interceding for you perfectly according to the will of God.

We also cling to the promise in Philippians 4:6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 John 5:14 This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently and lovingly share why this is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture declares in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God in prayer and to receive eternal life, we must believe that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and that God raised Him from the dead. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Him today, for He is faithful to hear and to save.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You know each of these four unspoken requests intimately, every detail, every fear, every hope and every need. We ask that Your will be done in each situation. Where there is need, provide. Where there is sickness, bring healing according to Your mercy. Where there is confusion or difficult decisions, grant wisdom generously. Where there is brokenness, bring restoration and peace. We pray that You would be glorified in each answer and that our friend would clearly see Your hand at work. We ask that You guard this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and draw them closer to You through Your Son Jesus. Help them to continue to call upon You, for You have said in Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know. Strengthen their faith as they wait upon You and let them know they are not alone. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing every burden to Him daily, trusting that He hears and that He answers according to His perfect love and wisdom. We are standing with you in prayer.

Thank you for reaching out and letting us stand with you in these four requests. We understand some burdens feel too tender or complex to put into words, and we want you to know that is completely okay. You do not have to explain everything for us to pray with care.

We are grateful you trusted us even with the unspoken. We believe God already knows each detail, each name and need behind what you are holding, and He welcomes you to bring it just as it is, even without perfect words.

If it helps in the days ahead, you might find it steadying to set aside a brief quiet moment each day to simply name before the Lord that you are entrusting these four matters to Him again. No pressure to find the right phrasing, just a faithful handing over. And knowing others are praying for you by name can itself be a comfort when the weight feels heavy.

Father, we lift these four unspoken requests to You now. You see what we cannot see and You care deeply for the one who wrote in. Grant peace in the waiting, wisdom for each decision, and a clear sense of Your nearness and care. Work in each situation according to Your good will and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

It is a privilege to bring your four unspoken requests before the throne of grace, for the Lord knows what is unspoken and hears the groaning that cannot be uttered. You have done well to call upon God in the day of trouble, for such prayer is honest speech with God and it brings honor to Him both in the act and in the answer, for He has said, call upon me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you.

We pray that the God of peace may be with you. He is the God of peace because He created peace, He restores it when sin has broken it, He preserves it and He will perfect it. He is the God of peace who justifies and thereby implants peace in the soul through the blood of the everlasting covenant, and who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus. Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and that peace passes all understanding and keeps the heart and mind.

May you taste and see that the peace of God is good. It is first peace with God through the atoning sacrifice, and then a consequent peace in the little kingdom within, knowing that you are His child and that your Father rules all things for your good. Whatever these four burdens may be, may you look toward Christ in whom God dwells and tell Him your grief, trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ. He has spoken in His Word, and what He has promised He will perform. Take Him at His word and believe Him, for He cannot cast away the soul that trusts in Christ.

Our prayer for you is this, that the very God of peace sanctify you wholly and keep you, that He will grant you comfort and joy and peace in believing according to His will, and that you may know His deliverance and live to praise Him. May He give you grace to know His will and to do it, and to abide in the peace of God even while sorrows surge around, resting on Jesus bosom where nothing but calm is found. We leave your unspoken requests in His wise and loving hands, asking that He will answer each one for your good and for His glory. Amen.
