We thank you for reaching out and for asking us to join you in prayer in Jesus name, and we count it a privilege to lift you up together before the Father. We understand how overwhelming it can feel when many important responsibilities come at once, especially a job search and the preparation of an important document with a deadline, along with many other duties that demand your time and attention.
We are encouraged that you are seeking wise and godly counsel, for the Scripture reminds us that where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors they are established Proverbs 11:14 and that without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed Proverbs 15:22. God delights to give wisdom when we ask Him, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We also take comfort that we can bring every burden to Him, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself invites us to come to Him when we are weary, for come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.
We also remember that whatever we do, we are to work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23, and that God is faithful to equip us for the work He has given us to do.
We pray together with you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we thank You for this dear one who is seeking You for help. Lord, You see the many tasks before them, the revamping of the resume, the job search, and the document that must be prepared for the agency in two weeks, along with all the other responsibilities that feel heavy and overwhelming. We ask that You grant clarity of mind, peace that surpasses understanding, and strength for each day. Guide their hands and thoughts as they work on the resume and the document, that what they produce would be done with excellence and integrity for Your glory. Lead them to the right people to help, to wise and godly counselors who will speak truth and offer practical support where needed, and help them to discern what can be done alone and what requires the help of others. Provide divine connections and open doors for employment according to Your perfect will, and help them to trust in Your timing and provision. Quiet any anxiety and remind them that You are their helper and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to take each task to the Lord in prayer before you begin, to set aside focused time for the most urgent work, and to break larger projects into smaller steps so the burden feels lighter. Continue to seek out mature believers who can offer godly wisdom and perhaps practical assistance, whether with proofreading, career advice, or simply prayer. Trust that God sees your diligence and that He will provide the help and direction you need in His perfect timing.
