Prayers please

We have heard your request and we are lifting you up before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name for these four unspoken requests. Even though you have not shared the details, our Father knows them fully and He cares deeply for you.

We take comfort in knowing that God searches our hearts and understands what we cannot always put into words. In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God Romans 8:26-27. You are not alone in carrying these burdens, and we are joining our faith with yours to bring them before the Lord.

We also want to gently encourage you about something we noticed. Your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is through His name we can come boldly to God with every need.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You know each of these four unspoken requests even before we speak them. You know the desires, the worries, the needs and the hopes behind each one. We ask that Your perfect will be done in each situation. We pray that You would grant wisdom, provision, healing, protection and peace as each need requires. Let the one who submitted this request feel Your presence and Your love in a real way. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We ask for that surpassing peace to guard this heart and mind right now. We pray that You would answer according to Your wisdom and mercy, and that You would be glorified in each outcome. This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14, and we trust that You are listening. Strengthen faith, draw this dear one closer to Jesus, and help them to continue to seek You with all their heart. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with these four requests, even without details. We understand some burdens feel too tender or complex to put into words, and we honor that you chose to share them this way.

We believe God hears even the prayers we cannot fully articulate. There is comfort in knowing He already understands what weighs on you, and that you do not have to find perfect words for Him to be present and caring.

We are standing with you in prayer for each of these four needs, asking for God's wisdom, peace and provision in the ways that are best, and for strength for you as you wait and walk through them.

A gentle next step that many find helpful is to keep a private note of these four requests and bring them to God in a short, quiet moment each day, simply and honestly, without pressure to solve them. It can also help to remember you are not carrying them alone, we and others in the faith are remembering you before the Lord.

Father, we bring these four unspoken burdens to You now. You know each one by name and the heart behind it. We ask You to provide comfort, guidance and help in each situation and to give our friend peace and assurance of Your nearness. We place these needs in Your hands and ask Your will be done in each one, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your four unspoken requests have been brought before the Lord, and we join you in prayer to Him who knows them altogether, though they are hidden from us. There is comfort in this, that the infinite God has thoughts of peace towards His people, and His will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence. Nothing happens but what He permits or ordains, and all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in His plan.

We do not know what you carry in your heart in these four matters, but He does, and His Word reminds us that He will fulfill His promise, though He will not fulfill a misreading of it. Our wisdom therefore is not to ask that our will be done, but to pray, Father, thy will be done on earth even as it is in heaven. The work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will and so make men willing in the day of His power, working in them to will and to do of His good pleasure. So we pray that in each of these burdens your will may be brought to delight in God's will, for then the fangs of the serpent are extracted and the sorrow is sucked out of the sorrow by the lips of acquiescence.

We pray also that you may know that great peace which comes to those who love God's law and whose mind is stayed upon Him. You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. If any of these requests concerns a desire that is not according to His revealed will, we ask the Lord to gently correct and conform your heart to His Word, for His revealed will we must not violate, and true profit consists in doing His will. If they are according to His will, we ask Him to grant them in His time and way, for His promise may tarry but it never fails.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, You know these four unspoken petitions which Your child lays before You. You see the perplexity and the captivity of thought which they may bring. We ask that You would keep this one in perfect peace as trust is placed in Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. Grant faith to simply trust Him, to be reconciled to Your way of salvation, and to find in Him present rest even while duties press and sorrows surge round. Teach us all to say from the heart, I wish in all things to be obedient to Your gracious will, and to love Your law and find great peace therein. Fulfill Your own Word in Your own way, and work in us to will what You will, that we may have joy and peace in believing. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
