Beloved of All
We have received your four unspoken requests and we bring them before the Lord with you, thankful that you have asked for prayer.
God knows what is unspoken. What is hidden to us is open to Him, and we can come with confidence because Jesus Christ ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God by Him. He is able to save to the uttermost, not for a time only but continually, and He has no successor. Because He lives, He is able to help in every need, both for this life and for the life to come, and His saving work is for those who come to God through Him alone, for salvation is through Christ alone.
We pray that in each of these four matters God will do what is according to His good and holy will and according to His Word. We ask that He will give you grace, for even when we are obedient we still need His grace at all times, and that He will give you wisdom to do your part as you trust Him, since prayer and faithful obedience go together. We ask that He will give you peace at all times and in every way, and keep you from all that would harm your soul, and guide you to what is right and pure in His sight, including His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and for all of life lived within His commands.
We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, morning and evening, for prayer is a great weapon, an impregnable wall and a tower unshaken. God does not require many words for their own sake, but He does call us to persist like the widow who kept pleading and like the friend who knocked late at night, trusting that the Lord hears. If you have first made God favorable to you by prayer, you can go forth into the duties and struggles of each day with security, knowing you have a High Priest who intercedes for you.
So we pray: Father, we thank You that You hear us always through Your Son. We lift up these four unspoken needs to You. You know each one fully. We ask that You would answer according to Your mercy and truth, that You would save, forgive, heal, provide and lead as You know best, that You would draw this dear one closer to Christ and grant faith, repentance, strength and peace. Grant grace to walk faithfully and to receive what You give with thanksgiving. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Priest, who lives and intercedes for us. Amen.
