Beloved of All
Thank you for trusting us with these four unspoken requests. Even though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to your Father in heaven, who knows what you need before you ask, and He invites you to bring them to Him.
We are joining you in prayer, believing what Scripture teaches that the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person avails much. That righteousness is not our own goodness, but what we receive through faith in Jesus Christ, which alone gives us the right to come to God and truly call Him Father. If that relationship is yours through Christ, you have open access to bring every burden to Him. If you have not yet come to Him that way, the first and most important prayer is simply, God be merciful to me, a sinner, and He will hear and answer.
We often come to prayer wanting God to act immediately and to do what we desire, but the deeper purpose of prayer is not to bend God to our will, but to bring our hearts into alignment with His will. True prayer begins with God and His purposes, which He makes known to us, and we then return to Him in prayer, opening the door for Him to work freely in our lives without violating our will. The wisest prayer we can pray over each of these four matters is, Lord, let Your will be done, and work out Your perfect will in my life.
You do not need long or eloquent words. The prayers recorded in the Bible are often very short. What matters is a sincere heart that trusts in the Lord rather than in people, strength, or circumstances, and that waits on Him. That trust brings peace, for when we are right with God and walking rightly before Him, He gives peace in our hearts even while we wait for His answer.
So we are asking God to meet you in each of these four needs according to His wisdom and love, to give you guidance to know the way you should walk, to give you assurance and comfort by His Spirit as you pray, and to build your confidence in His faithfulness. May your prayer, even now, end with praise, trusting that He has heard you and will answer in the way that is best.
