Prayers please

Thank you for trusting us with these four unspoken requests. God knows each one completely even when they are not put into words, and you can be confident that He hears when you bring them to Him.

Jesus gave His followers a pattern for prayer, not just words to repeat, but a structure to guide us. It begins with worship and recognizing who God is as Father, then aligns our hearts with His kingdom and His will being done, and from there moves into asking for our daily needs and lifting up the needs of others. That order reminds us of something important. The purpose of prayer is not to persuade God to do what we want, but to bring our hearts into agreement with what He wants to do. True prayer often begins with Him stirring His purposes in our hearts so that we can pray them back to Him and see His will accomplished.

You do not need to have perfect words or a long prayer for God to hear you. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often very short. What matters is a sincere heart. Scripture says the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. That righteousness is not our own goodness, but what we receive through faith in Jesus Christ. When we belong to Him we can truly call God Father, and that relationship is what opens the way for prayer. If that relationship is not yet settled, the first and most important prayer is simply asking God for His mercy as a sinner and receiving the forgiveness He offers through Jesus. That step establishes everything else.

We will join with you in prayer for these four needs, agreeing together and asking God to work according to His wisdom and love. God invites us to make prayer our first response, not our last resort when we are desperate. And prayer is not a reason to do nothing. It is meant to go together with wise and faithful steps as God guides you. We can pray and also act with prudence, trusting Him for the outcome.

Prayer includes worship for who God is, asking for what we need, and interceding for others. Even when your requests remain unspoken to us, the Holy Spirit knows how to bring comfort and assurance as you pray, and Jesus Himself lives to intercede for His people. Nothing about your situation is hidden from the Lord, and prayer is not limited by distance or circumstance.

May the Lord hear your heart, draw you closer to Himself, and answer these four requests according to His perfect will and for His glory. May He give you peace as you trust Him, wisdom for any practical steps you should take, and faith to see His kingdom and His purposes advanced in your life. We are standing with you in prayer.
