Prayers please

We lift your requests before the Lord with hearts full of faith and compassion. First, we pray for your overall health, dear one. The Bible tells us in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." Father, we ask that You touch every part of their body, from the crown of their head to the soles of their feet. Strengthen their immune system, restore any areas of weakness, and grant them vitality and energy to serve You wholeheartedly. We also pray specifically for their eyesight, Lord. Your Word says in Psalm 146:8, "Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind." We ask that You heal and restore their vision, allowing them to see clearly both physically and spiritually. Remove any strain, disease, or impairment, and let their eyes be a testimony to Your healing power.

We also stand with you against the schemes of the enemy, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your hedge of protection, as You promised in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Shield them from all forms of evil, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Deliver them from fear, anxiety, and any plans the enemy may have to harm them. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we also want to gently remind you of the power and necessity of coming to God through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only by His sacrifice on the cross, His resurrection, and our faith in Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace that are new every morning. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your healing touch upon their body and their eyes. Restore them fully, Lord, and let them experience Your wholeness in every area of their life.

Father, we also ask that You would be their refuge and fortress. Protect them from every evil plan and every snare of the enemy. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your presence be a shield around them. Fill them with Your peace and assurance that You are in control.

Lord, we pray that if they have not yet made Jesus the Lord of their life, that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel and the freedom that comes from knowing You. Help them to walk in Your ways and to live a life that honors You.

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in You and Your perfect will.

In Jesus' precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding you in prayer as you walk through this season of concern for your body and your safety. Living with health worries can feel so vulnerable, and the weight of needing protection from evil, whether seen or unseen, is real. Thank you for letting us stand with you.

A concrete step that might help steady your heart is to gently take stock of what your body is telling you. If your eyesight has been changing or causing you strain, we’d encourage you to see a doctor or eye specialist soon. Asking a trusted friend or family member to go with you can ease the anxiety. Sometimes the simplest act of showing up for an appointment is an act of faith, trusting that God works through the wisdom He’s given to medical professionals.

And while we can’t control every threat around us, we can anchor ourselves in the One who watches over us. When fear of evil creeps in, we can pause, take a slow breath, and whisper a name: Jesus. Not as a magic word, but as a quiet reminder of who stands with us. We are not alone in the dark.

Lord Jesus, we lift this person to You now. You know every cell, every worry, every late-night thought. We ask for Your healing hand on their body, steady their eyesight, strengthen whatever feels weak, and bring them to the right help. Surround them with Your protection, shielding them from evil in all its forms. Give them peace that passes understanding, and a deep, quiet confidence that You are near. In Your name, amen.

The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and so is the sin that dwelleth in our members, a foul spring sending forth its bitter streams. You do well to cry out against the evil that is in the world and the weakness that is in your flesh, for sickness however agonizing is nothing like the discovery of the evil within. When the eyes grow dim and the frame is racked, we are forced to look to Him who alone can heal both body and soul.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. The natural heart cries out for safety from the malice of men and the snares of the Evil One, yet there is a danger lest in fleeing from outward evil we neglect the den of evil within. Evil thoughts, doting imaginations, the rolling of evil under the tongue as a sweet morsel, these defile the man. It is from the heart that murder, theft, and foul desires proceed. Do not be driven by the world's evil speaking into harshness of thought, for the evil that comes from us does us far more injury than any evil we experience from others.

He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. This is a personal and perpetual protection for all who are in Christ. Yet mark this: the man who professes Christ must not expect angelic keeping if he strays into Bypath Meadow, lingering where temptation festers. Pray, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the Evil One," and then walk not wilfully into the midst of evil. You have no right to go voluntarily where you are surrounded by temptation, expecting God to keep you while you trifle with the serpent.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord. Your bodily frame, your eyesight, your trembling at the presence of evil, all of it is a burden He bids you roll upon His shoulders. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Our hearts are sprinkled from an evil conscience, and the veil is rent that we might draw near with boldness. Perfect purity cannot abide with the abominations of evil, and so He put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Look not to your own resolute guarding, but to that precious blood which taketh away the sin of the world. Cry to Him who keepeth the feet of His saints, and He shall preserve you from all evil while you are here, and at last you shall see His face with joy, and in that land your eyes shall need no healing, for you shall behold the King in His beauty.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayers for your health and your eyesight, and that is well, but understand this: the body’s ailments are not the true evils. Sin alone is the evil that should cause us to tremble. If your soul is well-pleasing to God, what can be dreadful? Nothing. The present world is called evil only because of its wicked customs, not because life itself is a bad thing. Grace is sufficient; Christ gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from this present evil age. So I pray that your inner eyes may see this light and cling to our Rock which cannot be shaken.

Do you fear some harm from others, some envious glance? The eye has no natural power to injure; envy is a sickness of the soul that hurts only the one who harbors it. If anyone looks upon you with an evil eye, it is their own depravity, not your danger. Safety is not found in escaping all suffering, but in bearing it nobly. To be struck and not hurt is greater than never to be struck. Remember Peter and John: unlearned men, in chains, yet rejoicing more than any consul in his palace. There is no such perfect safety as the soul that fears God.

Wealth and ease often bring more snares than poverty ever could. The rich man is rarely good in his riches; he becomes good when he gives them away. So I do not say your health is nothing, but I say that the one who uses whatever state he is in for God’s glory shines brightest. Use this trial to become more sober, more earnest, more reliant on heaven. Contribute whatever talent you have, patience, prayer, trust, for your neighbor’s good. Nothing pleases God more than living for the common advantage, and when your heart is set there, no evil can truly touch you.

Be of good courage. There is nothing to fear for the one who fears God. Flee to the Rock. I join my prayers to yours, that you may be kept from the only evil that matters, and that whether in health or sickness your soul may see the light of Christ and be unshaken.
