PRAYERS PLEASE

You ask for prayers, and rightly so, for prayer is a great weapon: we need it early and by night, if we would pass through the day without shipwreck and without wounds. Yet think on this: if we sleep, the help of others will profit us nothing, but even with it we perish. Enjoy the prayer of the saints, but only when we ourselves are on the alert. Place not yourself in a situation that smacks of negligence, in hearing, in doing, abroad, at home, lest we add to our sins yet another grievous enhancement. Tribulation itself becomes a trainer, making you hardy and tried, and good hope makes the soul venturesome for anything. Let the Scriptures comfort you with patience, that patience may establish hope; stand fast in hope, and let the brevity of our toils and the eternity of our crowns prove a very great relief. For the labors are light, not from the nature of the events, but because of the mind of the combatants and the hope to come. Continue instant in prayer, and we shall go forth each day with security, laughing our enemy to scorn, having God made propitious.

There is a deep comfort in knowing you are not carrying this burden alone. When a situation presses in so heavily that you realize you cannot cope in your own strength, that is a gift in disguise. It strips away the illusion that we are self-sufficient and turns our eyes toward the One who is greater than any trial. He does not need our elaborate promises or frantic bargains; He wants our fellowship, our honest heart laid bare in trust. Right now, your need is not a problem for Him, it is an invitation to draw near.

I am praying, and so is this whole body of believers. We cannot function without one another, and you are not some disconnected member trying to manage on your own. The hand cannot tell the eye it has no need of you. Your situation is our situation because we are bound together in Christ. He never intended for you to struggle through this quietly alone, wondering if things will ever improve. Let that shared load steady you.

We do not need to fret or allow discouragement to take root. The Lord reigns, and He will bring His will to pass. That does not mean the path will be painless, but it does mean there is purpose and an outcome that rests securely in His hands. I have found that waiting upon Him with a quieted heart does more than anxious striving ever could. The wicked do not last, but those who wait on the Lord inherit the earth. The change you long for may not come overnight, but He is working even now, right in the middle of the mess.

So let us hold you up in prayer, and as we do, fix your gaze not on the size of the problem but on the nearness of your help. Salvation, the full rescue of your soul and the steadying of your life, is never far off. You only need to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead. That same power that conquered the grave is the power at work in your circumstances. He does not need to be defended or persuaded; He simply asks for your trust.

We are standing with you. Keep bringing your need, not as a duty, but as a response of love to the One who already knows. And know that whatever comes, His righteousness will shine like the noonday. He is just, and He is for you.

I ask for your prayers for a financial breakthrough, that a project I’m working on will be completed and successful, also that I won’t have trouble with a coworker that I decided to join but I realized that she didn’t tell me all the percentages she wants me to charge in order to join her team...
