We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your four unspoken prayer requests. Though we do not know the specifics, we trust that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We stand in the gap, praying that God’s perfect will be done in each situation, for His glory and your good.
Father in Heaven, we ask that You move mightily in the life of our brother/sister. Where there is pain, bring healing. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is fear, bring Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where there is sin or bondage, break every chain by the power of the blood of Jesus (Revelation 12:11). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, if any of these requests involve relationships, we pray they align with Your Word. If there is any ungodly attachment, any compromise with sin, or any pursuit outside of Your design for marriage between one man and one woman, we ask that You convict and correct with Your loving kindness. Your Word is clear: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If there is any hidden sin, we ask for repentance and restoration, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We also lift up any struggles with faith or doubt. If Jesus Christ is not yet Lord of their life, we pray they would come to know Him as Savior and King. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not confessed with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, we pray they would do so today (Romans 10:9). Salvation is found in no one else, and we desire that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Lord, we ask that You strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. May they walk in obedience to Your Word, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). No matter what these requests entail, we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
