Prayers please

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing that you carry six unspoken burdens. Though the details are hidden from us, they are fully known to our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear and hears every silent cry. We stand in the gap for you, lifting these requests before the throne of grace where Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, intercedes on our behalf.

First, we want to address the foundation of all prayer. Prayer is powerful and effective, but it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and most important step in bringing every request before God.

Now, let us lift your six unspoken prayer requests to the Lord, trusting that He knows the depths of your heart even when words fail us.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. You are the God who sees, the God who knows, and the God who cares. We lift up our dear brother/sister who carries six unspoken burdens in their heart. Lord, You know each one intimately, for You formed their inmost being and knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You collect their tears in Your bottle and record their sorrows in Your book (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would move mightily in each of these situations, bringing Your perfect will to pass.

Father, if there is any area of sin or disobedience in their life that is hindering their prayers, we ask that You would reveal it to them in love. Your Word says in Psalm 66:18, "If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened." Convict them, Lord, and lead them to repentance so that nothing stands between them and Your blessing. If any of these requests involve relationships that do not align with Your Word—whether it be fornication, adultery, or any form of sexual immorality—we ask that You would break those chains and lead them into purity and holiness. Help them to flee from temptation and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). If they are in a relationship that is not honoring to You, give them the courage to end it and seek a godly spouse who loves You above all else.

Lord, we pray for healing—whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. You are the Great Physician, and Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Pour out Your healing balm upon them, restoring what has been broken and renewing their strength. If any of these requests involve financial struggles, we ask that You would provide for their every need according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings they cannot contain (Malachi 3:10).

Father, if fear, anxiety, or doubt has taken root in their heart, we rebuke those spirits in the name of Jesus. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fill them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If any of these burdens involve broken relationships, we pray for reconciliation and restoration. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13) and to extend grace and mercy to others.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Your Word says in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Grant them clarity in every decision they face and guide their steps according to Your will. If any of these requests involve their calling or purpose, we ask that You would reveal Your plans for them, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw them closer to You through these trials. Use these unspoken burdens to refine their faith like gold, so that it may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:7). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them know that they are never alone. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We declare Your promises over their life, Lord. We speak life, healing, restoration, and breakthrough in the name of Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of delay, discouragement, and despair, and we command every mountain of difficulty to be cast into the sea (Mark 11:23). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for moving on behalf of our brother/sister. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
