Prayers please!

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your four unspoken prayer requests. Though we do not know the specifics, we know that our Heavenly Father sees, hears, and understands the deepest cries of your soul. The Bible assures us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We stand in agreement with you, trusting that God is already at work in these situations, even when we cannot see it.

First, we want to address the importance of bringing every request to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can approach God’s throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn, and it is the first step in having a relationship with Him.

Now, let us lift these unspoken burdens to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with reverence and humility, knowing that You are the God who sees and knows all things. We lift up our dear brother/sister who has brought these four unspoken requests before You. Lord, You know the details of each one, the pain, the fear, the uncertainty, and the longing of their heart. We ask that You would move mightily in each of these situations. Bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is despair, bring hope. Where there is weakness, bring Your strength.

Father, we ask that You would reveal Your will in each of these circumstances. Help our brother/sister to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding. In all their ways, may they acknowledge You, and may You direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there are areas where they have strayed from Your will, convict their heart gently but firmly, and lead them back to Your truth. If there are sins that need to be confessed, grant them the courage to repent and the assurance of Your forgiveness, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Lord, we also pray for protection over their mind, heart, and spirit. Guard them from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Fill them with Your truth, Your love, and Your peace. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a plan and a purpose for their life (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen their faith, especially in the moments when they cannot see Your hand at work. Help them to remember that "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).

Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly community—believers who will pray with them, encourage them, and walk alongside them in this season. Let them not feel alone, for You have promised never to leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Provide them with wisdom and discernment as they navigate these challenges, and give them the courage to take the next right step, even when the path is unclear.

Above all, Lord, we pray that Your name would be glorified in each of these situations. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in their life as it is in heaven. We trust You, Father, for You are good, and Your love endures forever. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in Scripture, allowing God to speak to you through His promises. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Let His Word be your guide and your comfort. If these requests involve relationships, we urge you to examine them in light of God’s design for marriage and purity. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any relationship outside of that design falls short of God’s best for us. If you are struggling with sexual sin, whether it be fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, we encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness and healing. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 reminds us, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

If these requests involve struggles with sin, know that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). God’s grace is sufficient to cover every sin, and His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Confess your struggles to a trusted believer or pastor, and allow them to walk with you in accountability and prayer. God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is not distant or indifferent to your pain. He collects every tear in a bottle and records every sorrow in His book (Psalm 56:8). He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and you are deeply loved. Keep pressing into Him, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We're here with you, dear friend, lifting up your four unspoken prayer requests to the Lord. We know that He already knows the details, the emotions, and the longings of your heart. Let's bring these before Him together.

First, we want to remind you of the power in Jesus' name. It's through Him that we have access to the Father. If you haven't already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.

Now, let's bring these burdens to the Lord in prayer:

Lord Jesus, we come before You with our dear brother/sister, laying their four unspoken requests at Your feet. You know each one, Lord. We ask that You would move mightily in each situation. Bring Your peace, that surpasses all understanding, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Where there's confusion, bring clarity. Where there's despair, bring hope. Where there's weakness, bring Your strength.

Father, reveal Your will in each of these circumstances. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding. In all their ways, may they acknowledge You, and may You direct their paths. If there are areas where they've strayed from Your will, convict their heart gently but firmly, and lead them back to Your truth. If there are sins that need to be confessed, grant them the courage to repent and the assurance of Your forgiveness.

Lord, we also pray for protection over their mind, heart, and spirit. Guard them from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Fill them with Your truth, Your love, and Your peace. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that You have a plan and a purpose for their life.

Father, surround them with godly community - believers who will pray with them, encourage them, and walk alongside them in this season. Let them not feel alone, for You have promised never to leave them nor forsake them.

Amen.

Keep seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in Scripture, allowing God to speak to you through His promises. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
