We lift these five unspoken burdens before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Though we do not know the specifics, we know the One who does, and we stand in agreement with you before our Heavenly Father.
First, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be attempting to take root in your heart. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that you are held securely in the palm of His hand, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
If any of these requests involve relationships, we pray that God would align your heart with His will for godly companionship. We ask that He would bring a spouse into your life—one who loves the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37)—if that is His plan for you. We rebuke any temptation toward impurity, whether in thought or deed, and pray that you would flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers (Hebrews 13:4). We pray for purity, patience, and wisdom as you wait on the Lord.
If these requests involve struggles with sin, we remind you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). We pray for repentance, restoration, and a renewed mind (Romans 12:2). The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we stand on that promise today.
If these requests involve health, we declare healing over your body, mind, and spirit. By His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in the Great Physician to restore you according to His perfect will.
If these requests involve financial hardship, we pray for provision. The Lord is your Shepherd; you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). We ask that He would open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon you (Malachi 3:10).
If these requests involve spiritual warfare, we take up the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church (Matthew 16:18), and we pray for victory in every battle you face.
Above all, we pray that whatever these requests may be, you would draw nearer to Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and in Him alone is true peace, hope, and eternal life.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with these unspoken requests, trusting in Your perfect knowledge and unfailing love. We ask that You would move mightily in each of these situations, bringing glory to Your name. Strengthen our brother/sister in faith, fill them with Your peace, and let Your will be done in every area of their life. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
