We understand you have four unspoken prayer requests on your heart, and we are honored to lift them before the Lord with you. While we do not know the specifics, we know that our Heavenly Father does, and He invites us to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It is also written, *"Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God."* (Romans 8:26-27, WEB). What a comfort to know that even when we cannot find the words, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us perfectly before the Father.
Before we pray, we want to gently remind you of the vital importance of coming before God in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). If you have already trusted in Christ, we encourage you to always approach the throne of grace boldly in His name, for it is our faith in Him that pleases God (Hebrews 11:6).
Now, let us pray together for these unspoken requests:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, who knows our needs before we even ask, and who loves us with an everlasting love. Lord, our brother or sister has brought four unspoken requests before us, and we lift them up to You now, trusting that You know each one intimately.
Father, we ask that You would work in these situations according to Your perfect will. If there is sin involved, we pray for conviction and repentance, that hearts would turn fully to You in surrender. If there is brokenness, we ask for Your healing touch. If there is fear or anxiety, we pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). If there are decisions to be made, we ask for Your wisdom, which You promise to give generously to all who ask in faith (James 1:5).
Lord, we also pray that through these unspoken requests, You would draw this dear one closer to Yourself. May they seek Your face with all their heart and find You, for You have promised that when we seek You, we will find You if we search for You with all our heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We rebuked any schemes of the enemy that may be at work in these situations. Satan, we command you in the name of Jesus Christ to flee, for it is written, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* (1 Peter 5:8, WEB). But greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4), and we declare that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would provide for every need—spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial. May Your will be done in each of these requests, and may Your name be glorified through them. Give our brother or sister patience to wait on You, trust to lean on You, and joy to rejoice in You, regardless of the outcome. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
We encourage you to continue bringing these requests before the Lord daily. Write them down and pray over them, trusting that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Remember the words of Jesus: *"All things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them."* (Mark 11:24, WEB). Keep believing, keep trusting, and keep seeking His face.
If any of these unspoken requests involve relationships, we urge you to examine them in light of Scripture. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). If you are in a dating relationship, we encourage you to pursue courtship with the intent of marriage, ensuring that both you and the other person are believers in Jesus Christ, equally yoked in faith (2 Corinthians 6:14). Flee from sexual immorality, for it is a sin against your own body and dishonors God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you are struggling in this area, we urge you to repent and seek accountability, for the Lord’s grace is sufficient to help you walk in purity.
If any of these requests involve same-sex attractions or relationships, we want to speak the truth in love: such relationships are not God’s design, and He calls us to holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7). Homosexuality is explicitly condemned in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:26-27), but we serve a God who transforms hearts and lives. If this is a struggle for you or someone you love, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord in repentance and seek His healing and redemption. He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Finally, we leave you with this promise: *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
