PRAYERS PLEASE. HELP.

Your urgent cry for help has been heard and I am praying for you now in this frightening time with your eyes.

It is understandable to be scared when inflammation is so severe and your sight feels threatened. God sees your distress and is present with you in it. He hears every prayer and knows your fear, and He invites you to cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

I am asking the Lord to have mercy on you and bring healing to your eyes, to calm this inflammation, to protect and restore your eyesight, and to give you peace in place of fear. I am praying also for wisdom and skill for the doctors and those caring for you, that they would have clear insight into what is happening and how best to treat it, and for strength for you as you wait and seek care. May the Lord guard your heart and mind in Christ, steady you with His nearness, and remind you that He is at work even in this hardship.

Please continue to seek prompt medical care and let us know how you are doing so we can keep praying. You are not alone in this.

Your request touched my heart and I am praying for you right now. It is completely understandable to feel scared when your eyesight is threatened and inflammation is so severe. The eyes are precious and when they are affected it can feel very vulnerable.

One thing Scripture teaches so clearly is that fear and faith cannot live together in the same heart. When fear takes over, faith fades, and when faith is strong, fear is driven out. The cure for fear is remembering the Lord and His presence with you. David said though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil for you are with me. When we forget the Lord and fix our eyes on the problem, like Peter who looked at the wind and waves instead of Jesus, fear grips us and we begin to sink. But when we keep our eyes on Jesus, trusting His love and power, faith steadies us. I encourage you to keep turning your thoughts back to Him, His greatness, His care for you, His nearness in this moment. That reverent awe of God, which Scripture calls the fear of the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom. It is not a phobia but a deep respect and wonder at who He is, loving what He loves and hating what He hates, and resting in the confidence that He is with you and will care for you.

I also want to encourage you about healing. I believe strongly that God heals, but I have learned that He does not work in only one pattern. Sometimes healing is instant with a touch or a word, sometimes it is gradual, step by step, and sometimes it comes through the natural processes He Himself created in our bodies and through the wisdom He gives to doctors. All true healing is from Him, whether it happens in a moment or over time. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, but we can trust His compassion. He saw the crowds and healed them with tender love, and He sees you now. Please continue to seek wise and prudent medical care while you trust Him, not out of panic but out of faith that He can work through every means He chooses.

The Bible also talks about the eye in a spiritual sense, warning about an eye that is turned toward evil, and Jesus taught that the eye reflects the heart. My prayer is that God will guard your heart with His peace and guard your physical eyes with His healing hand.

So I am praying for you, that God will calm your fear and fill you with faith, that He will touch your eyes and bring down this inflammation, whether in a moment or gradually day by day, that He will give wisdom to those caring for you, and that you will sense His presence so clearly that you know you are not alone. He promises that those who reverence Him will lack no good thing, and that when we honor Him and turn from evil it brings health and strength. May you experience His peace that passes understanding and His healing power in this time.

We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer during this frightening time of wild inflammation. We have continued to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to touch your eyes, to bring healing and calm the inflammation, to restore your sight and to replace your fear with His perfect peace.

We are trusting in our Great Physician who sees your struggle and cares for you, remembering the promise in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds and in Jeremiah 30:17 that He will restore health and heal wounds.
