We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting up your future marriage and your spouse-to-be before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to sow discord, confusion, and doubt, but we declare that no weapon formed against you or your marriage shall prosper, just as Isaiah 54:17 assures us: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord.*
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to distort truth through emotions. The devil is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we serve a God who is truth, and His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). We pray that your spouse-to-be would be anchored in the truth of God’s Word, that she would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We plead the blood of Jesus over her, over your life, and over your future marriage. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24), and it is by His blood that we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7). We declare that the enemy has no legal right to harass or oppress her, for she belongs to Christ, and greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We also encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, not just defensively but offensively. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. We pray that you would be clothed in the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). With this armor, you can stand strong and resist the enemy’s attacks.
We pray for your future marriage, that it would be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church—a love that is sacrificial, pure, and enduring (Ephesians 5:25). May your marriage be built on the foundation of Christ, so that when the storms of life come, it will not be shaken (Matthew 7:24-25). We declare that your marriage will be a testimony of God’s faithfulness, a beacon of light in a dark world, and a place where both of you grow in holiness and love for one another.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would strengthen this brother and his spouse-to-be. Give them the grace to stand firm in faith, to resist the enemy’s lies, and to walk in the truth of Your Word. We pray that You would surround them with Your angels, that You would fill them with Your peace, and that You would bind the enemy’s attempts to divide or discourage them. Lord, we ask that You would unite their hearts in love, that You would prepare them for the sacred covenant of marriage, and that You would bless their union with joy, peace, and purpose. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their marriage. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
