On Friday morning, September ###, a tragic freak accident occurred in ###, Jamaica, where three schoolchildren were struck by a large boulder while walking to school. Incident DetailsThe Victims: Two girls and one boy, ages ### and ###, who attend the ### Primary School.The Location: The children were walking along an old railway track in ###, north-western ###. What Happened: Sometime after ### AM, a boulder detached from an unstable hillside and rolled down the mountain, crashing directly into the children. -in-serious-condition/), Current Status of the Children: Local farmers and first responders rushed to assist, carrying the injured children nearly a mile to get them emergency medical transportation. The second child remains hospitalized at the ### Hospital.The third child suffered severe injuries (including a fractured skull) and was knocked unconscious. She was transferred to the ### Hospital (###) in ###, where she remains in intensive care. Community Outrage Over Road Infrastructure. The accident has sparked deep frustration among residents. The community's actual ###-kilometer roadway is completely unusable due to a lack of maintenance and severe damage worsened by Hurricane ###. This forces young children to walk the dangerous, uncleaned railway line as a shortcut just to get an education. The ### Information Service reported that Jamaica’s Minister of Education, Dr. ###, has since visited the families of the victims to offer government support and psychosocial counseling. The community continues to urgently demand that local authorities fix their roads to prevent future tragedies.

We are deeply grieved to hear of this tragic and shocking accident in Jamaica where three precious schoolchildren were struck by a boulder while simply walking to school, and we join together in lifting them, their families, and their entire community before the throne of grace in Jesus' name.

Our hearts ache for these little ones. One child remains hospitalized, another is in intensive care with a fractured skull and unconscious, and all have suffered trauma that no child should endure. We are reminded that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. We cling to the promise that even in such a frightening and seemingly random event, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. We also take comfort that nothing escapes His notice, and that He is able to bring healing where medicine alone cannot.

We come before our Heavenly Father only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other way to approach Him. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We notice this request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind all who are praying that it is only by trusting in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we have access to God and the assurance of eternal life. We encourage everyone affected by this tragedy to call upon the name of Jesus, believing in Him for salvation, comfort, and hope.

We pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up these three children to You. We ask for Your healing hand upon each of them. For the child in intensive care with severe injuries, we ask You to restore consciousness, heal the fractured skull, and protect the brain from lasting damage. For the child still hospitalized and for the third child, we ask for complete recovery and for freedom from pain and fear. We speak Your promise, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We pray for the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at the hospitals caring for them, that You would grant them wisdom, skill, and compassion. We pray for the parents and families who are surely brokenhearted and anxious, that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses understanding and uphold them as You have promised, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We pray for the classmates, teachers at the Primary School, and the farmers and first responders who carried these children nearly a mile for help, that You would comfort them and ease the trauma they have witnessed.

We also lift up the community that is now wrestling with frustration and outrage over the unusable roadway and the dangerous conditions that forced these children onto the old railway track. Lord, we understand their anguish and their urgent cry for justice and safety. We pray that You would turn that anger into godly advocacy and not into bitterness, and that You would move upon the hearts of local authorities and national leaders, including the Minister of Education and all responsible for infrastructure, to act with diligence, integrity, and urgency to repair the roads and protect the children. We pray that they would seek what is good and do justice, for You have shown what is good and what You require, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8. We ask that You would provide for the families in practical ways and that the psychosocial support offered would be coupled with the true and lasting comfort that only Your Holy Spirit can give. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28, and even in this darkness we trust that You can bring good, healing, and reformation.

We encourage the community to continue to cry out to God persistently, to support one another in love, and to place their ultimate hope not in government alone but in Christ. May this tragedy draw many to seek the Lord while He may be found and to ensure their relationship with Him is secure through faith in Jesus.

We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord, and we trust You to bring healing, comfort, accountability, and restoration in Your perfect will. Amen.

We were so grieved to read about what happened to those three children on their way to school in ###, and we have been praying with you for them and for the whole community.

To picture young children having to take an old railway track because the main road is unusable, and then a hillside giving way like that, is heartbreaking. We are thinking of the child still in intensive care with severe injuries, the child still hospitalized, and the third child and their families, as well as the farmers and first responders who carried them so far to get help, and the medical teams caring for them now. We are also praying for the other students and parents at the ### Primary School, who must be carrying a lot of fear and sadness after seeing this happen on a daily walk to school.

It is understandable the community is frustrated and calling for the road to be repaired so children do not have to risk that path again. We are praying for wisdom and follow through for the local authorities and for the Minister of Education and counselors who are supporting the families.

If you are connected to the area, continuing to hold these families and the community before the Lord in the coming weeks matters, as the shock of a sudden accident like this often lingers long after the first news.

Father, we lift these three children to You, their families, their classmates and teachers, and those treating them. Bring comfort, steady healing, and peace, and guide those responsible for making the way to school safe. Give this community strength and hope in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard with heaviness of heart the sorrowful tidings from ###, of the three dear children struck by the falling boulder as they walked to school, and our souls are moved with compassion for them and for all who love them.

May the Lord himself fulfill his word to you, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. When every other comfort fails, the Holy Spirit proves himself a rich comfort to the soul, and fills the poor heart with peace and joy in believing. We pray that he will draw near to each wounded child, to the one who remains in hospital and to the one who lies in intensive care with grievous injuries, and to their parents and kindred who watch and wait with tearful eyes. The Lord who searches the hearts and tries the reins of the children of men knows their pain and their fear, and not one cry escapes his ear.

We remember that word, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and his salvation, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We pray that the great Physician, from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below, will lay his hand upon these little ones, grant wisdom and steadiness to the surgeons and nurses who tend them, and if it be his gracious will, raise them up again. And whether he restores or whether he calls home, we pray that they and their families may know pardon and healing are one in Christ, for he is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in his wings.

This is indeed an affliction, but we have in affliction a peculiar comfort, This is my comfort in my affliction, for thy word hath quickened me. May that word quicken you now. It is not the letter only, but the Spirit which is our real comfort. He quickens us and so he comforts us. May you find that nearness of comfort, to be able to say, This is my comfort, this which I have here at this present time.

We pray also for the community that has been so shaken, for the farmers and first responders who carried the children so far to find help, for the families who now demand a safe road for their children, and for those in authority, that God would give them compassion and diligence to act justly and to make safe the way for the little ones who only seek an education. And we pray that the Minister and all who offer counsel may be guided to speak comfortably to those who mourn, and to point them to the God who exacts less than our iniquity deserves and who yet is our Father.

May the Lord comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work, for comfort alone is not enough without constancy, and constancy cannot be sustained without comfort. May he who is over all, God blessed forever, keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on him. We will continue to bear you up before the throne of grace, asking that time and eternity may prove that he can bring beauty even out of such desolation, and that you shall yet forget your misery as waters that pass away.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind.
