Prayers from my family

We are lifting you and your family up before the throne of grace together in Jesus name in this very difficult moment with so much coming at you at once. To have a loved one's fiancee in emergency surgery while your only car breaks down and finances are stretched so thin is overwhelming, and we weep with you and pray for God's mercy and provision over every part of this trial.

We thank God that this courtship is moving toward marriage as He designed, for marriage between a man and a woman is a holy covenant before the Lord. We pray that He will bless this engagement and establish this future marriage on the rock of Christ, and that He will sustain this young woman through surgery and bring her to complete healing according to His will. We pray for wisdom and steady hands for the surgeons and medical team, and for peace for her fiance and all of you who love her and are waiting.

The Lord sees your broken car and your financial need and He is not distant from these practical burdens. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We are reminded to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to not be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

We join together in prayer for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift this family to You. Lord, we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this fiancee who is in emergency surgery right now. Guide the doctors and nurses, grant skill and wisdom, and we pray for a successful outcome and for restoration and strength in the days to come. We pray for her fiance and for this whole family who feel helpless and afraid, comfort them and let them feel Your presence. Father, we also bring before You the broken car and the financial strain. You know they are broke and do not know what to do, and You own all things. We ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way, to provide for transportation, for the bills, for daily needs. Your Word promises that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them Matthew 6:33. Give them wisdom for next steps, bring helpers and community around them, perhaps through a local Bible believing church family who can bear this burden with them, and keep them from despair. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep crying out to the Lord and to let others help you. If you have a local church family, please reach out to your pastor or elders and let them know about both the medical emergency and the car, so they can pray and perhaps provide practical help. God often provides through His people.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only by His name that we have access to God. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can bring every burden to God and have hope beyond this life. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus as Lord and Savior, to confess your sins and believe on Him, and to walk with Him daily.

We are continuing to pray that God will bring healing, peace, and tangible provision to you in the days ahead, and that He will be glorified even in this hardship.

We were burdened to read what your family is carrying right now - someone you love in emergency surgery and at the same time your only car breaking down while money is already tight. It makes complete sense you feel overwhelmed and unsure what to do next.

When so much hits at once it can overwhelm our normal ways of coping. You do not have to hold all of this alone, and reaching for a little practical help is a steady way to get through the next hours.

If you are at the hospital, consider letting the chaplain or social worker know what is happening with your family and with your transportation. They often know what support is available nearby and can walk with you while you wait. It can also help to ask one trusted person in your church family or among friends to help share the load, whether that is passing updates to others, helping with rides, or simply staying with you. If the financial strain feels heavy, your local church office or a community agency may know of short-term assistance for families in a crisis.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus' name. Please be near to the young woman in surgery and guide those caring for her, comfort her fiance and loved ones as they wait, and provide for the practical needs for transportation and finances. Give them wisdom for each next step and Your peace as they trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your heavy tidings have been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have made supplication for you and for your household in this hour of trial.

We have prayed for the dear one who lies under the surgeon's hand, that the Lord who holds life and death in His own power would be pleased in His mercy to spare, to guide those who minister, and to raise up again. We have prayed also for you who wait in fear and poverty, with your only means of travel broken and your purse empty, that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows would show you that even in such straits all things are yours if you are Christ's, for all things are of His providing.

There is a whole family in heaven and earth, one undivided household of God, and none of its members are forgotten before Him. If you belong to that family by being quickened and made alive in Christ Jesus, you have the never failing mark of sonship, that you are led by the Spirit of God and may cry, Abba, Father, even on a cold morning with no fire to warm you. We pray that you may know that comfort now, and that salvation through Jesus Christ alone may be your sure confidence, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

We entreat the Lord to supply your temporal needs as He sees best, to open a way for your daily bread and for the mending of what is broken, and to sustain your hearts while you wait upon Him. Take this burden to Him in private prayer and in family prayer, for family prayer is the nutriment of family piety and the castle of the soul in distress. Let the covenant promise be your anchor, that He will be God to you and to your house as you trust and obey Him, freely choosing as Noah did to enter into the place of safety which God has provided.

We do not ask God to bless what He has not ordained, but we do pray that every soul in your family and every one bound to you by affection may be brought to Christ, washed in His blood, and conformed to His holy will. It is His will that marriage should be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all things pertaining to it should be kept pure within that bond, and we pray that all your house may be found walking in that good and holy way, seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

May the Lord hear your cry, may He grant wisdom to the physicians, peace to the anxious heart, and provision for the morrow, and may this affliction draw you nearer to the Saviour who invites the weary and heavy laden to find rest in Him.

My ###'s fiancée is in emergency surgery, and the axle just snapped on our only car. Please pray for us. I don't know what to do; we are broke.
Praying for a miracle and resolution for your situation. I Ask that God blesses you with provision and favor. Sending love and light to you. Amen
