Prayers from my family

Your request has been heard and we are bringing your family before the Lord in prayer during this very difficult time.

We are praying for the young woman who is in emergency surgery, that God would grant skill and wisdom to the surgeons and medical staff, and that He would grant healing and recovery according to His mercy. We are also praying for you and your family, that God would give you peace and strength as you wait and that you would know His comfort and presence in these hours of uncertainty.

We are also lifting up your practical needs to the Father. To have your only car break down and to face financial pressure at the same time is a heavy burden. We are asking God to provide for your needs, to open doors for help with transportation and expenses, and to sustain you day by day. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your local church family for tangible help as well, so they can bear this burden with you.

Above all we pray that through this trial each of you would be drawn closer to Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God, and that you would cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you. May the Lord give you wisdom for each next step and remind you that He is near to those who call upon Him.

We will continue to pray for healing, for provision, and for peace for your household.

Please pray for ###'s fiancee, that the Lord would guide the hands of the surgeons, grant wisdom to the medical team, and bring her through safely. Pray for peace for her and for all who are waiting and worrying, and that the Lord would make His presence and comfort very real in this fearful time. We can cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us.

The broken car adds such a heavy burden when it is your only transportation and finances are already stretched thin. It is so easy to become attached to material things, and when something like a car fails it feels like everything is falling apart. Yet those things are temporary. They wear out, they break, and in the end none of them last. That does not make the frustration or the need any less real right now, but it can help keep perspective. What matters most is the people we love and our walk with the Lord, which endures.

I also want to encourage you about the financial fear. God is not in a financial crisis and He is not depending on us to bail Him out. He owns all things and He is able to provide for His children. Scripture teaches that we are to put Him first and bring to Him the first of what we have, not the leftovers, and to trust Him with our needs. Many who have gone through deep hardship and times of having very little will tell you that it was in those very times that God became most real to them, because they had to trust Him day by day for the next meal, the next bill, the next need. He does not always remove the hardship instantly, but He uses it to draw us closer and to show His faithful care.

You do not have to figure out every step tonight on your own. Bring your needs honestly before the Lord and ask Him for provision, for wisdom for the next decisions, and for help from the body of Christ around you. He has promised to supply what we need according to His riches in Christ, and He often does so through His people.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up this family to You. Touch this young woman in surgery and bring healing. Comfort her fiance and the whole family with Your peace that passes understanding. Provide for this broken car and for the financial needs that feel so overwhelming. Help them to sense Your nearness, to trust You one day at a time, and to know that You see them and You care. Give them wisdom, open doors for help, and sustain them through this trial. Amen.

We are continuing to pray for you. If there are practical needs the local church can help with, please let someone nearby know so they can come alongside you.
