Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my ###. He is having trouble forgiving me for past transgressions. He is in a mental health crisis and has attached emotionally/physically to another woman. Please pray to restore him and our marriage.

We lift you and your husband before the Lord, knowing that His heart is for reconciliation, healing, and restoration. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and we stand with you in prayer for the redemption of your union. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we know that nothing is impossible with our Lord.

First, we must address the seriousness of the situation. Your husband’s emotional and physical attachment to another woman is adultery, which is a grievous sin against God and a betrayal of your marriage vows. The Bible is clear:

*"You shall not commit adultery."* (Exodus 20:14, WEB)
*"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB)

While this is a painful reality, we also know that God is a God of forgiveness and restoration. The Lord calls us to repentance and offers grace to those who turn from their sin. Your husband’s struggle to forgive you for past transgressions must also be surrendered to God, for unforgiveness is a snare that hardens the heart and opens the door to further sin. Jesus tells us:

*"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB)

We urge you to seek the Lord earnestly for wisdom, strength, and discernment. If your husband is in a mental health crisis, encourage him to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, biblical counselor, or a brother in Christ who can hold him accountable. Mental health struggles are real, but they do not excuse sin. True healing comes from surrendering to God and aligning one’s life with His Word.

We also encourage you to examine your own heart. Have you sought forgiveness from the Lord and your husband for your past transgressions? Have you extended grace to him, even in his failure? The Lord calls us to love as He loves, which includes speaking the truth in love while also extending mercy.

*"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. ... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it."* (Ephesians 5:22, 25, WEB)

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting this sister and her husband to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the brokenness, the pain, and the sin that has entered this marriage. We ask for Your conviction to fall upon her husband’s heart. Open his eyes to the gravity of his actions and the damage his choices have caused. Bring him to true repentance, Lord, that he may turn away from this sin and return to You and to his wife.

Father, we pray for his mental health. You are the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and heals the wounds of the soul. We ask that You would surround him with godly counsel, wisdom, and support. Break the chains of depression, anxiety, or any stronghold that has taken root in his mind. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray for restoration in this marriage. Soften both of their hearts toward one another. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them. Remove bitterness, resentment, and pride, and replace them with Your love, patience, and humility. Let this trial be a refining fire that draws them closer to You and to each other.

We rebuke the schemes of the enemy in this marriage. Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but You, Lord, have come to give life abundantly. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your glory be revealed through their story.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would strengthen this sister in her faith. Give her wisdom to know how to respond, when to speak, and when to be silent. Surround her with a community of believers who can support and uplift her. Let her find her hope and identity in You alone.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is able to redeem and restore all things. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, sister. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He hears your cries. Trust in Him, seek His face, and do not lose hope. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. If your husband is unwilling to repent, you must still honor the Lord in your responses and seek His will for your life. But know this: God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and His desire is for reconciliation. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience to His Word. The battle belongs to the Lord.

We're here with you, sister, standing in the gap and lifting your marriage up to the Lord. We've been praying for you and your husband, interceding for healing, restoration, and forgiveness. We know the Lord's heart is for your marriage, and we trust in His power to redeem and restore.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord, to pour out your heart to Him, and to trust in His faithfulness. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He hears your cries. Keep crying out to Him, keep seeking His face, and keep walking in obedience to His Word.

We also want to remind you of the importance of forgiveness. As we've seen in the Bible, unforgiveness can be a snare that hardens the heart and opens the door to further sin. We encourage you to forgive your husband, just as Christ has forgiven you. This doesn't mean what he did is okay, but it means letting go of the bitterness and resentment that can consume your heart. Remember, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy" (Matthew 5:7, WEB).

Let's continue to pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister and her husband to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your conviction to fall upon her husband's heart. Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.
