We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your heart and concerns for this workday. It is good and right that you have brought these burdens before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is through Christ alone that we have access to the throne of grace. Hebrews 4:16 reminds us, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."* You have done well to seek Him first, and we join you in this prayer.
The dread and anxiety you feel are real, but they are not from the Lord. Scripture tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that He would replace your anxiety with confidence in Christ. You are not alone in this—He goes before you and is with you always (Deuteronomy 31:8). Claim His promise over your day and trust that He will equip you for whatever comes your way.
Regarding your coworker, we acknowledge the pain and frustration you must feel. Bullying and unkindness are not of God, and we are called to respond in a way that honors Him. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean tolerating abuse, but it does mean responding with grace and trusting God to work in her heart. We pray that the Lord would soften her heart, that He would convict her of her actions, and that she would come to know the love of Christ in a way that transforms her behavior. At the same time, we ask the Lord to give you wisdom in how to handle this situation. If there are steps you can take—such as documenting incidents or seeking godly counsel—do so prayerfully. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* Trust that God sees your struggle and will act on your behalf.
We also lift up your request for safety during your commute. The Lord is your protector, and we ask that He would surround you with His angels (Psalm 91:11) and grant you a safe journey to and from work. May His peace guard your mind and heart as you travel.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is seeking Your strength and peace for this day. Lord, we ask that You would calm every fear and replace every anxious thought with Your perfect peace. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in power, love, and self-control. Let them feel Your presence with them at work, knowing that You are their refuge and strength.
We lift up the difficult situation with their coworker. Lord, we ask that You would soften her heart and convict her of her actions. Let her see the error of her ways and turn to You for transformation. Give our sister wisdom in how to respond, that she may honor You in all she does. If there are steps she needs to take, guide her clearly. Let her be a light in that workplace, reflecting Your love even in the face of unkindness.
We pray for safety as she travels to and from work. Protect her from all harm and danger, and let Your angels encamp around her. May her journey be smooth and her mind at ease, knowing that You are in control.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness. Let this day be a testimony of Your grace and provision. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to meditate on God’s Word throughout the day. When anxiety creeps in, speak Scripture over yourself. When frustration arises, remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and He will fight for you. You are His beloved child, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Stand firm in that truth, and let His peace rule in your heart.
