Thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggle with us. We are here to support and pray for you. Firstly, let's be reminded of God's Word, Let no corrupt talk come out of your mouths, but only what is good for building others up as it fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:29-32 (WEB)
It's important to remember that God sees your worth and efforts. He says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB) It's easy to feel discouraged when others treat us poorly, but know God values your work and will reward you in due time. If someone doesn't appreciate your work, it does not mean you deserve it any less.
However, let's also remember Jesus' words, But I tell you, don't resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. Matthew 5:39 (WEB) This isn't about letting others walk over us, but about showing God's love and kindness even when others don't reciprocate. It is not about getting even, it is about loving them even more.
Now, let's pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing difficulties at their workplace and do so in Jesus' name. We thank You for their job and the recognition they have received. We pray for Your protection over them, that Your favor would surround them as a shield. We ask You to fill them with Your love, peace, and confidence, casting out all doubt and fear. Help them to forgive those who are treating them poorly. We ask You to change the hearts of these co-workers, that they may recognize the error of their ways and turn towards You.
We pray that our brother/sister would lean on You for strength and encouragement, finding their value and worth in You alone. Guide them in their actions and words, that they may extend grace and kindness to those who have wronged them. We will trust You with our brother/sister. We trust You with their job and their co-workers. We ask these things in Jesus' name according to Your will.
Lord Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to lean on God during this time.
