We join with you in lifting up your wife before the throne of grace and we thank you for standing in the gap for her as her husband, which honors the covenant of marriage God has ordained.
We hear the heaviness in your request, the sadness and depression she is carrying, and the distress of these strange scratch marks with no physical cause. We want you to know that God sees her affliction and He is not distant from it. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18
Scripture is clear that our struggle is spiritual as well as physical. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 For that reason we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 We do not take these attacks lightly, but we also do not fear them, for greater is He who is in us than any power of the enemy. We rebuke any work of the enemy that seeks to bring harm, heaviness, or oppression upon your wife and we stand on the promise that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers have power only through the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you and your wife have not already placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today, confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that is the foundation of all spiritual protection and deliverance.
For the heaviness and depression, God desires to exchange it for His joy and praise, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3 We encourage you both to resist the devil by submitting fully to God, for as it is written, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 We encourage you to continue to be watchful, to fill your home with worship, the Word of God spoken aloud, and prayer together. Put on the armor daily through prayer and the Scriptures, anoint your home and your wife with oil as you pray in faith, and seek the support of a trusted pastor or mature believers who can pray with you in person and provide ongoing pastoral care and discernment. While we pray for spiritual deliverance, we also encourage you to have her seen by a medical professional to rule out any physical cause, trusting God works through both spiritual and practical means.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear wife and her husband to You. We ask for Your divine hedge of protection around her, that You would cover her with Your wings and be her refuge and fortress. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2 We ask that You would command Your angels concerning her to guard her in all her ways. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against her body, mind, and spirit and we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. In the name of Jesus we command any spirit of heaviness, sadness, depression, and oppression to leave her and to go where Jesus sends it, never to return. Fill her instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Your oil of joy, and Your garment of praise. Touch her body and let these strange marks be healed and be no more, and reveal any root that needs to be addressed. Strengthen her husband to lead with love, courage, and prayer, and strengthen their marriage as one that honors You. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, for You have said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 We thank You that You are faithful to establish and guard her, and we trust You for complete deliverance, restoration, and joy. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
