We understand that you're feeling anxious about your day at work and the interactions with your coworkers. First, let's address the dread and anxiety. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling dread and anxiety about their workday. We ask that You will take away their anxiety and fill them with Your peace. Help them to trust in You.
Lord, you tell us to cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us.
Give them the strength and wisdom to handle all tasks and interactions today.
Regarding their coworkers' questions, we pray for wisdom and discretion.
We encourage you to remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Dear Lord Jesus, as we look at the questions from the coworkers, we ask for guidance and wisdom.
We pray they are respectful and kind in their responses, and we also pray that they use this as an opportunity to share their faith if appropriate.
Colossians 4:6 WEB Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
We encourage them to be open about their faith and to share the hope that is within them when asked.
And we remind them to have a good attitude about their work and coworkers.
Colossians 3:23 WEB Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.
We encourage them to be a good ambassador for Christ in the workplace.
And we remind them to pray for their coworkers and to show them the love of Christ.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. We trust in You and Your will for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Thank you for praying in Jesus' name.
