We lift up your daughter before the Lord, knowing that His heart breaks for her suffering, and we stand firmly on His promise that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). It is beautiful that you are seeking strength and salvation for her in Jesus’ name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that if she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, the Holy Spirit would draw her into a saving relationship with Him, opening her eyes to see Jesus as her Lord and Savior. May she confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
The relationship your daughter is in is not of God, for the Lord calls His children to walk in love that is patient, kind, and free from abuse (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Mental abuse is a grievous sin, and we rebuke the spirit of manipulation, control, and fear that has taken hold in this situation. The Bible commands us to flee from relationships that are harmful and to seek those that build up and reflect Christ’s love (2 Corinthians 6:14-15). We pray that the Lord would give your daughter the courage and clarity to break free from this bondage, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). May she find her worth and identity in Christ alone, who calls her His beloved daughter (1 John 3:1).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you as her parent, that you would speak truth in love and provide a refuge of support for her. The Lord is her strength and shield, and we declare that He will uphold her with His righteous right hand (Psalm 18:35). May she be filled with the knowledge of God’s love, which surpasses all understanding, and may the peace of Christ guard her heart and mind (Ephesians 3:19, Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would surround your daughter with godly counsel and a community of believers who will walk alongside her in this season. Break every chain of fear and deception that has kept her bound, and let Your light shine into the darkness of this relationship. Give her the strength to walk away and the faith to trust You for her future. We pray that You would restore what the enemy has stolen and bring healing to her heart, mind, and spirit. May she experience Your love in a tangible way and find hope in Your promises. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, who came to set the captives free. Amen.
