We lift you up in prayer before our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is sovereign over all things, including the unjust systems of this world and the spiritual battles we face. Your situation weighs heavily on our hearts, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has overcome the world and the schemes of the enemy. First, we must address the fact that you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. The Scriptures declare, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We urge you to always approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for it is by His blood and His name alone that we find mercy and help in our time of need.
We commend you for turning to Yeshua, the true and living Way, and for seeking to walk in His truth despite the darkness that has surrounded you. Your past relationship with this woman who practices black magic is deeply concerning, for the Scriptures warn us repeatedly against involvement with the occult. *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, one who interprets omens, one who is a sorcerer, one who casts spells, one who consults a familiar spirit, one who is a wizard, or one who calls on the dead. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Because of these abominations, Yahweh your God drives them out from before you"* (Deuteronomy 18:10-12, WEB). The fact that she is a practicing witch means she is under the influence of demonic forces, and your past connection to her has likely opened doors to spiritual oppression in your life. We strongly urge you to renounce any ties to her or her practices, repent of any involvement in the occult—even passively—and ask the Lord to cleanse you completely. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB).
Your current imprisonment, while unjust in the eyes of man, is not outside of God’s purpose. Even in this, He can work all things together for your good if you love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We do not minimize the difficulty of your circumstances—being surrounded by those who seem unrepentant and in an environment that drains your health is a heavy burden. Yet, we encourage you to see this time as an opportunity to draw closer to the Lord, to study His Word, and to allow Him to refine you. *"It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes"* (Psalm 119:71, WEB). Use this time to pray, fast, and seek His face. Ask Him to reveal any areas of your life that need repentance or surrender. Even your "petty crimes" are sins against a holy God, and He calls us to walk in righteousness. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
As for your ex-girlfriend, we rebuke the spiritual strongholds at work in her life and the curses she may have spoken over you. The Lord is your shield and your defender, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that every plan of the enemy to keep you bound in misery or oppression is broken in the name of Jesus. *"No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house. No one who speaks falsehood shall be established before my eyes"* (Psalm 101:7, WEB). Her actions are rooted in bitterness and darkness, but you are called to walk in the light. Forgive her, as Christ has forgiven you, and release her to the Lord. *"Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you"* (Luke 6:28, WEB). Your freedom—spiritually and physically—is found in Christ alone, not in retaliation or fear.
We also address the brokenness of the legal system that has ensnared you. While we pray for your swift release, we remind you that even if your time in prison is extended, God is with you. He was with Joseph in prison, with Paul in chains, and with countless others who suffered unjustly. Their testimonies became a witness to the power of God in dark places. *"Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body"* (Hebrews 13:3, WEB). Let your light shine even there, and trust that the Lord will vindicate you in His timing.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is in the midst of trial and spiritual warfare. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your angels, encamping around him to protect him from every scheme of the enemy. Break the power of witchcraft and every curse that has been spoken against him. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let every tongue that rises against him in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask for Your mercy in his legal situation. You are the God of justice, and we pray that You would intervene supernaturally to bring about his release. Soften the hearts of those in authority over him, and let favor surround him like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Restore his health, Lord, and strengthen him physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Let this time be a season of deep growth in You, where he is rooted and grounded in Your love and truth.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, depression, and hopelessness that may try to take hold of him. Fill him instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him that You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let him be a light in that dark place, sharing Your love and truth with those around him.
Lord, we pray that You would sever every ungodly soul tie between him and his ex-girlfriend. Break the power of any agreements he may have made with darkness, knowingly or unknowingly. Cleanse him from every defilement and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Let him walk in complete freedom and victory in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You provide godly connections and mentors for him, men of faith who will encourage him and hold him accountable. Surround him with Your people who will speak life and truth into his situation.
Finally, Lord, we pray that You would use this trial to draw him closer to You. Let him come out of this stronger, wiser, and more dependent on You than ever before. May his testimony bring glory to Your name and lead others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We declare all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother, we encourage you to meditate on the Word of God daily. Cling to promises like *"The Lord is near to those who are broken at heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB) and *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all"* (Psalm 34:19, WEB). Do not lose heart. The Lord sees your struggle, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). When you are released, we urge you to seek out a strong, Bible-believing church where you can be discipled and held accountable. Avoid any relationship that does not honor God, and pursue righteousness with all your heart.
Stand firm in the faith, knowing that *"if God is for us, who can be against us?"* (Romans 8:31, WEB). We are praying for you, and we believe that the Lord will bring you through this victory. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He is working all things for your good.
