We join you in lifting up your friends before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing them to Jesus in prayer, for we know He hears and He cares deeply for them.
We share your concern when you see those you love changing and withdrawing and not communicating, and we understand how heavy that burden feels. We are reminded that the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit as written in Psalm 34:17-18. We also cling to the promise that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3 and that He has promised But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17.
We know that sickness can touch the body, the mind, and the spirit, and that the enemy seeks to isolate and oppress, but we know our God is greater. We take comfort that by His wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5 and that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up in James 5:15. We also know that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one in 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We pray that whatever affliction, confusion, heaviness, or evil influence is at work would be broken in the name of Jesus.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up these dear friends who are suffering and struggling in ways we do not fully understand. Lord, You see them, You know what is wrong, even when they cannot or will not speak it. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon them, to touch their bodies, minds, and spirits and make them whole. Deliver them from all sickness and from every work of darkness, and break every chain that holds them. Draw them to Yourself, that they would cry out to You and find You near. Pour out Your peace upon them and give them a desire to reach out and to receive help. We ask that You surround them with Your presence and Your protection and that You would intervene powerfully in their lives even now, bringing light into darkness and hope where there is despair. We cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us as taught in 1 Peter 5:7, and we trust You to do what only You can do.
We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for them with persistent prayer and loving outreach, even when they do not respond, letting them know you care and you are praying. Continue to point them gently to Jesus, for He invites all who labor and are heavily burdened to come to Him and He will give them rest in Matthew 11:28. We trust with you that God is at work even when we cannot see it and that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.
