Prayers for Sean

So far God has answered all my prayers and his glory has shone through, let all that glory go to God. This time though I pray that God will further help Sean develop insight into his addictions, the pain he has gone through and the pain that he has caused others. I pray that all that are trying to  help Sean are blessed, that they gather the strength to continue to help Sean and most of all that there is a breakthrough will Sean's addictions and mental illness. I also pray for myself, that I will find peace It is so hard when a child you love is destroying himself and cannot seem to reach out and take help. Lord, please change my son's heart, please help him to see that there is a better life, one where he can bring joy to others, where he can seek out ways to be helpful to others, just as others have reached out to him. Please Lord, release the pain of worry in my heart, the fear and the constant thinking of what my son might do next. I pray over your angels who are looking out for him now, that they have an easy path and are guided as to what to do next during this very challenging time. Also help us to gather finances to help Sean should we need to. Thank you Lord. I know you are great, greater than any problem, that seems impossible for us to solve.So is your glory.

I've been where you are, Julee, and I will tell you that worrying about what he might do next is the worst thing you can do. It doesn't accomplish much but more heartache. So I encourage you to give Sean to the Lord, God brought him into this world, and he is the one who will reach him, so rejoice in that truth. Also the seed of the righteous shall be delivered, so rejoice in that truth too.

Take authority over those addictions, in the name of Jesus, I command the pull of drugs and alcohol be broken in Sean's life. The dart and arrow, the pull of those things are now rendered useless and tasteless, powerless. Father, i thank you that you see Sean delivered from these things because Jesus already paid the price for his freedom. Thank you for loving him. I ask for people to be placed in his path that will share the good news of the gospel and that his ears be opened to hear the deep truths of how much he is loved, by you and that Jesus gave his life so that Sean could experience what life is and the joy that comes from knowing You. I bless this family with peace, this mom with a heart that sings in times of struggles, for it is those times when praise and worship, thanksgiving are powerful warfare tools. In Jesus name. Amen.
