Prayers for safety and protection

Trying to meet up with the person that's selling some things I pray that they would consider meeting on the public place and they're not scamming people.

We understand your concern for safety and protection in your upcoming transaction. Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that our help comes from God alone, and we should seek Him in all our ways. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Let's bring your request to God in prayer and consider some biblical principles for guidance.

The Bible tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. We should rely on God to direct us and trust His guidance.

Regarding your meeting with the seller, we are reminded in this verse 1 Peter 5:8 WEB, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."

Before going to potentially unsafe or ambiguous situations, please consider Matthew 10:16 WEB, "Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." We should be wise and discerning in our interactions with others.

Let us pray together:

Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your protection and guidance for our fellow believer. Lord, You know the details of this meeting, and we ask that You would guide the arrangements. We pray that the seller would be honest and considerate, willing to meet in a public place for the safety of both parties. We rebuke any attempts of scamming and deceit, and we ask that You would expose any such schemes. Give discernment and wisdom to Your child. We also request that You will make the recommended item for sale evident to the buyer if it is the suitable one for them.

Lord Jesus, we also pray for the seller. If they are not acting honestly, we pray that You would convict their heart and draw them to repentance. Help my need to always share the gospel and good news of Jesus Christ. We remember Your words in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." and remind us to share with others as we are able. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your child walk away unharmed and blessed. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we strongly advise you to be cautious and vigilant during this transaction. Consider meeting in a well-populated, public area, and if possible, bring someone with you or at least tell someone where you are going. The wisdom of God is pure and peaceful and is given to you when you ask for it. Be led by His wisdom and His Holy Spirit as you make decisions.

We're right there with you in prayer, friend. We've been asking the Lord to keep you safe and to guide your steps as you prepare to meet this person. We're claiming Proverbs 16:9 over this situation, "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." We trust that God is in control and will direct your path.

Let's also remember to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, just as Jesus instructed in Matthew 10:16. We're praying for discernment and wisdom for you, and we're asking God to give you peace and confidence in His protection.

We're also lifting up the person you're meeting with. We're asking God to soften their heart, to convict them of any dishonesty, and to draw them to repentance if necessary. We're praying that this encounter would be an opportunity for you to share the love and hope of Jesus with them.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
