We are glad to join with you in prayer for safe travels. Before we begin, we want to remind you that our prayers are heard by God because of our faith in Jesus. The name of Jesus Christ is the only name whereby we may be saved. As the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We have access to God through Jesus Christ. With this in mind feel free to always end your prayers with "In Jesus' name".
Let's pray for your journey. We know that God is sovereign over all things, including our travels. We can trust Him to protect us and guide us along the way. As we prepare to embark on a journey to serve the Lord, let us remember the words of Psalm 91:11-12 WEB, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands".
Father in heaven, we come before You today and thank you for Jesus the Christ and His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, we thank you for the forgiveness of our sins and the gift of salvation. Today we lift up this your servant to You, Lord, and ask for Your protection as they travel. Guide them and keep them safe from all harm and danger. Give them a peaceful journey. Help them to be wise and make good decisions. In Jesus' name.
We also want to remind you to be mindful of your conduct during your travels. As followers of Christ, we are called to be salt and light in the world. Colossians 4:5-6 WEB says, "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." Remember to be kind to everyone you meet. Look for opportunities to share the love of Christ and the good news of the gospel. Be gracious and respectful to all.
Jesus admonishes us in Matthew 28:19-20 WEB, "Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
May the Lord bless you as you travel.
